Disability Sport NI are Playing Our Part this week for this year's Keeping Your Child Safe in Sport Week

The part parents play can have a big impact on how children feel about sport and physical activity.

Keeping Your Child Safe in Sport Week aims to make it easier for you to talk to your child about what support means to them and how you can help to bring out their best.

NSPCC have been providing great content to help support parents who want to play their part this week and you can find all the information on https://thecpsu.org.uk/safeinsport/

Celebrating 35 Years of the Knights Wheelchair Basketball Club!

Weโ€™re thrilled to announce that 2025 marks 35 amazing years of Knights Wheelchair Basketball Clubโ€”a community of inclusivity, passion, and achievement! ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ’ช

From supporting children and adults with disabilities across Northern Ireland to competing on global stages like the Commonwealth Games and Paralympics, our journey has been extraordinary. ๐ŸŒŸ With members excelling in NI, GB & Irish Leagues, recreationally and professionally, we continue to push boundaries and inspire.

But we need YOUR support to make the next chapter even brighter! Hereโ€™s how you can get involved:

๐Ÿ’ผ Sponsor our Gala Celebration Event at Titanic Hotel Belfast in August for just ยฃ300โ€”gain season-long visibility on banners, local and social media.
๐ŸŽฝ Sponsor our new playing kits and training merchandise for our junior and senior squads. Why not get in touch to discuss options.
๐ŸŽ Donate prizes for our event raffle, volunteer your time/services, or contribute directly towards vital equipment like sports wheelchairs, which cost over ยฃ4,000 or helping parents & players access competitive and recreational opportunities which often means lengthy travel.

Together, we aim to renew focus on outreach campaigns, bring new development players onboard, and create tailored training programmes for all age groups. Letโ€™s build the foundation for the next 35 years and beyond.

Contact Sarah Beattie at [email protected] or message us on Facebook/Instagram for further details. Every contribution counts! Knights Wheelchair Basketball Club: Charity Number: NI 103381

Thank you for helping us continue this incredible journey.
