Another 3 points on the board for our U17s! 💙👏

The girls are off to a fantastic start to the season and yesterday they showed exactly what they’re capable of, playing with confidence, composure and plenty of belief.

As coaches, there’s nothing better than seeing the girls put into practice the things we’ve been working on in training. They were solid throughout, worked hard for each other and created some excellent opportunities through some great build-up play. 👏⚽️

A fantastic team performance and plenty of goals to celebrate! 💙

POM was a tough one yesterday as everyone played their part, so we have joint POMs…

Civil Service 6-2 Shorts

A great start to the season for our U17s with a 6–2 win against a well-drilled Shorts side. 💙

Shorts got off to a flying start, taking the lead in the 2nd minute after a great run from their own half.

Our girls responded quickly, with Ellie getting us back on level terms just three minutes later. Two further first-half goals from Emily and Aimee saw us go into the break 3–1 ahead.

The girls continued to work hard after the restart, with Ellie, Emily and Aimee all adding another goal each to complete their braces. Shorts added one more, leaving the final score 6–2.

A special thank you to the Shorts coaches and players for their sportsmanship today. In particular, a huge thank you to their number 11, who helped our injured player from the pitch following an injury that required hospital treatment. That gesture was very much appreciated. 👏💙

Civil Service 1–3 Belfast Swifts

Our 2012 girls got their U15 SBYL League campaign underway yesterday. 💙⚽️

A nervous start saw Belfast Swifts put us under early pressure, but the girls settled into the game and started to move the ball really well. Amira then produced a fantastic strike from distance to put us ahead. 🔥⚽️

Swifts found an equaliser before half-time and added two more after the break. Despite tiring, our girls continued to work hard and never gave up until the final whistle. 👏

Lots of positives to take from our first league fixture, with plenty to build on in training. ⚽️💪

A difficult afternoon for our U16 girls as they came up against a strong St Malachy’s side.

The girls found it hard to settle into their usual game today and were just a little off the pace, but there were still some positive moments to build on. These are the games we learn from, take the lessons into training and come back stronger.

Our girls did us all proud again on Friday night with a fantastic performance. Unfortunately, the result didn’t go our way, but the effort, determination and football on display from every single one of them was something to be proud of. 👏⚽️

🏆 POM: Kara — a brilliant shift from start to finish, showing real strength and determination and capping it off with a great goal! 👏

This season has been an incredible experience for the girls, stepping up and playing in the Ladies League, making memories and continuing to grow and develop in women’s football. ❤️

As coaches, we couldn’t be prouder of this bunch. We’ve absolutely loved watching them progress throughout the season and seeing their confidence grow.

That’s the Ladies League season wrapped up, but it’s not over yet! 👀 We’re looking forward to getting back to the SBYL and continuing the journey with this fantastic group.
