Another heartbreaking night for our ladies on Tuesday, with the result not reflecting the performance.

After falling 2-0 behind, the girls showed incredible character to fight their way back. India pulled one back early in the second half with a superb finish before Jodie levelled the scores just 10 minutes later. That gave us all the momentum, and it wasn’t long before Jodie struck again to put us 3-2 in front.

Unfortunately, Carryduff found an equaliser before snatching the winner with a 90th-minute goal in a thrilling end-to-end contest.

Despite the result, the performance was full of positives, with every player giving everything for the team.

🏆 Player of the Match: Lexi, who produced a number of outstanding saves and distributed the ball brilliantly throughout the game.

A special mention also goes to our centre-back pairing of Ellie M and Lucy, who were immense at the heart of the defence and put in outstanding performances.

A performance to be proud of and plenty of positives to build on. Keep working hard, ladies—your determination and togetherness will be rewarded. 💙❤️

Not the result we wanted today, and the scoreline certainly didn’t reflect the performance.

The heat made for difficult conditions, but the girls never stopped working. We created chances throughout the game and forced their goalkeeper into some fantastic saves.

A big welcome to Claire, Courtney and Caitlin, who all made their debuts today. 💙

🏆 Player of the Match: Caitlin

Before kick-off I asked Caitlin what position she played, and her reply was, “I’ll play anywhere!” That’s exactly what every coach loves to hear. She started up front, finished at centre-back and put in a brilliant full-match performance. A deserved Player of the Match! 👏

A special mention to Ciara, who arrived just 30 minutes before kick-off after returning from a football camp abroad and still produced another outstanding performance. 👏
