🔚Angels finish the season with a defeat at home, but take many positives into next year! 💪We welcomed the Wolfhounds to Hydebank on Sunday afternoon for the final league fixture of the year. A win meant we would secure a 4th place finish, a loss - and we would have to see how other teams results played out. The wind and rain showed its autumn face, and once again played havoc with the outfield. 💨 Both teams put on a great defensive display, but ultimately the difference was runs scored. The Angels left too many players on base, whereas the Hounds brought them home - taking the win 11-3. 👏 This has been a season of transition for the Angels, and the overwhelming success of our new rookie recruits has been amazing! We will take many positives from this season, build upon them, and look forward to going again next year! ⭐️ MVPs were awarded to Ben W-H and Rachel B. Rookie Ben put in a dominant performance at catcher, including a tag-out at home, and a few popup catches. 👏 Rachel, or ‘the wall’ as we now call her, put her body on the line at 3rd base, absorbing line drive after line drive - letting very little pass her! ⭐️
A trip to Lisburn after the game to take part in their charity quiz night resulted in the Angels lads picking up 1st place. 👌🤓
The Angels look forward to a final blowout this coming weekend at the End Of Season Blitz tournament! 2025…over & out! 😇
