We have recently started our Good Relations Programmes in Derry/Londonderry and North Down.

Check out some of the pictures shared by St. Patrick's Primary School. You can see coach Jason out teaching some Badminton fundamentals.

We are delighted to be able to deliver these Good Relations Programmes all over the province. We will also be visiting schools in Belfast, Lisburn, and Antrim in the new year.

European Senior Championships 2026 🏸

Good opening few days at the European Senior Championships across a number of age categories. 🙌

Alison Woods and partner Georgina Ward added to their 3 set win yesterday, with another great win this morning against Germany 🇩🇪to progress to the Last 16 of the WD50.

Yong Hu won his RD128 MS50, before losing out to England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿in the Rd 64.

Brian McKee had a tight 2 set lose in the MS70 to France 🇫🇷 and losing out in the Rd 32 in the MD70 against Germany🇩🇪.

Pam Peard & partner Sian Williams are top seeds for the WD60 and play later this afternoon at 2pm.

The Munster Masters Open took place at the weekend at the SETU Arena in Waterford. The event was well run and thanks to all the staff and volunteers! A number of Ulster players made the journey down and came away with 9 titles and 23 medals overall. See results below:

Ulster Badminton Excel Coach Development Programme 2026/27

Ulster Badminton are pleased to open the applications for the Ulster Badminton Excel Coach Development Programme 2026/27. The programme is designed to support and develop Ulster Based coaches across a range of areas including knowledge, skills and experiences in a shared learning environment.

Over a period of 9 months, up to 10 coaches will meet, discuss and share knowledge around our sport in relation to:

- Developing their individual coaching book/ portfolio with all elements relations to badminton (tactical, technical, mental, physical, planning and pedagogy etc)
- Developing and strengthening their own coaching philosophy
- Developing an understanding of players’ requirements and optimal working methods to develop players with examples at 4 different development stages

Forza Ulster U13, U17 & C Grade Open 🏸

Great weekend of Badminton at the Ulster U13, U17 & C Grade event with 216 players competing across all 3 events. Some fantastic matches and a number of stand out performances with players winning multiple titles. 🏆

Fidha Mariyam Antony had an excellent U17 event winning 3 titles in the GS, GD & MX. In the U13 event Benjamin Liu & Saindhavi Hemanth both won 2 each to cap off some impressive performances. Ulster had a clean sweep in the C Grade winning all 5 events. Kate Henderson & Zoe Kearon both took home 2 titles in the C Grade event, with Blake Chambers partnering Zoe to win the mixed title. Akhilesh Moktali also had a great event, winning 2 titles in the Men's single and Men's Double with partner Luke Simpson.

Ulster Badminton are launching a New Wheelchair Programme and is open to all levels from beginners to advanced levels.

When: Tuesday's 6-7pm (starting on Tuesday 29th September 2026)
Where: Olympia Leisure Centre, Boucher Rd, Belfast, BT12 6HR
Duration: 12 weeks (Tuesday 29th Sept- Tuesday 15th December 2026)
