Stormont Park – Day 4 ☀️🍦

Another big hit with the children! Covered in suncream, plenty of water on hand, and of course a very special treat to cool everyone down. 🍦

The tunnel slides were definitely a favourite, although some of the children preferred climbing the whole way up and making the volunteers go in after them! 🤪

We were having that much fun that we forgot to take photos! 🙈

There were lots of laughs, happy faces, and plenty of fun from start to finish. What a special way to finish an amazing week at Eager Belvoir’s Summer Scheme! 💚

The Bouncy Pillow deserved a post of its own! 🤩☀️

Safe to say this was one of the biggest hits of the day! We don’t think there was a single athlete who wanted to get off the bouncy pillow. 😂

There was so much laughter, bouncing, and burning off energy it was definitely a favourite! Sometimes it’s the simplest things that make the best memories. 💚

The Ark Farm – Day 2 🐐☀️

We’re not actually sure how many animals we saw today because the park and the bouncy pillow were just too exciting! 😂

Feeding the goats was definitely a favourite, and all the children loved getting involved. It was great to see so many happy faces having fun together.

Another brilliant day with our amazing athletes, making memories, enjoying the sunshine, and having the best time! 💚🌞

☀️ Summer Scheme 2026 – Day 1 ☀️

What a fantastic first day! 🎉

Our trip to the play café was an absolute success. From climbing and exploring to imaginative play and lots of laughter, every child embraced the day and had so much fun. 💙

The highlight for us was watching the friendships shine. Seeing everyone encourage one another, play together, and include each other is exactly what Eager Belvoirs is all about. 🥹

We are so proud of every single one of our amazing children they took everything in their stride and had an absolute ball. What a way to kick off Summer Scheme 2026! 🌟

We can’t wait to see what the rest of the week has in store… Ark Farm tomorrow! 🐑🚜💛

🏅What a fantastic day we had yesterday!!🏅

3 of our wonderful athletes attended the Special Olympics Athletics event yesterday in Antrim Forum, taking part in tennis ball throw & softball throw… and they did absolutely amazing! Everyone’s attitude and effort made the whole day so special for all of us. It was beautiful for us as coaches to watch and I’m sure our proud parents would say the same!

Yesterday was all about showcasing our talent & determination and we did just that🥰 I’m sure there were a few tired wee faces last night ready for a well deserved rest!😮‍💨 Massive thank you to our parents for showing up each week and for coming along yesterday, the commitment never goes unnoticed🩵

Join us for a feel-good evening while helping fund our summer scheme for local children 🩵

Your support gives them a safe, fun place to be over the long summer break—and that means everything ✨

We’re looking for kind, reliable people to become volunteers in our club which supports young people with additional needs🩵 Wether your new to the industry and want to develop new experience, currently completing a course that requires placement hours, retired and want to get out for a few hours, have a child that attends the club and would love to get involved or like many of us just want to make a difference!🙌🏻 There’s a place for everyone✨

🕠 Thursdays, 5:30–7:30pm
📍 Belvoir Activity Centre

No experience needed🩵just patience and a willingness to support children to take part and have fun. We would also LOVE to have adults who also have additional needs on our team, what better way to use your knowledge and experience!!✨

Many of you will have seen the amazing Brian McGuigan in and out of our sessions over the last 2 years🩵

He was a HUGE part in supporting us during the set up of our club and trained multiple of our coaches prior to the making of Eager Belvoirs🙌🏻 We honestly could not have done it without him!

He’s set himself a challenge to swim 64 lengths everyday and finishing with a 3km open water swim in the River Foyle to raise money for 4 amazing athletes to attend the Ireland games, and donating money to 4 other clubs which includes ourselves!🩵 Please if you can show him some support🙌🏻🙌🏻

💛💙World Down Syndrome Day 2026💙💛

Today is a day to raise awareness, promote understanding and celebrate the lives, achievements and individuality of people with Down syndrome🙌🏻 It’s also a reminder of the importance of inclusion ensuring that every child is given the opportunity to thrive, be heard and feel valued.

We have the absolute pleasure to work with children with Down syndrome and we see week in week out just how much they bring to not only our sessions but to the world💙💛 Their strength, their joy, their determination and their unique perspectives are second to none✨

Today is about celebrating them, but also about continuing to build a more inclusive and accepting community, where differences are understood and embraced and every child is supported to reach their full potential💙💛
