The Champ! Oliver Plunkett legend The Andytown Apache Anto Cacace meeting his old trainer Anto Taylor and future champ James Moreland on their way back with another Ulster Title in the bag. Best a Irish luck Anto Cacace. Plunkett ABU 🥊 ☘️

Massive well done to Conor McCann on winning his second title in only his second contest coming away with his Ulster 9 counties Novice title. That's some going i think you'll agree. Special mention to Oisin Fryers and young Tyrone Mckenna who were awesome in their contests but just coming up short against quality opposition and leaving it all in the ring which is all we can ask also keeping their respective fighting families names going namely Fryers and Mckenna in the hardest sport there is. 🥊☘️🔥

Some squad alright. Halcyon days
Back in 2006, St Oliver Plunkett A B C Belfast claimed 6 Irish titles and 2 finalist’s in one season. The great group of young boxers were Martin O'Kane, Anthony Cacace, Eamonn Finnegan, Tyrone McKenna, Ray Ginley, Tommy McCarthy, Daniel McAllister and Chris Connelly.
It’s fair to say there were some great achievements to come in the professional ranks from a few as well 🥊

Decent enough County Antrim Boxing IABA championships for the Plunkett with 2 golds and 1 silver from 3 entered. Young James Moreland was in top form on both nights unfortunately losing narrowly in his final in a barnbuster with a very good Mac lad in Mason Donaghy with both lads leaving it all in the ring and great sportsmanship by both lads.
Special mention to Ronan Sands who was a very worthy winner of the ArmaghDown championships the previous weekend and to young Padraig Whyte who boxed outta his skin in these championships as well.
Next up Big Ciaran Mcateer in his 80kg final the battle of the big lads. Ciaran stayed composed through out and landing some accurate punches against a very strong lad from Bangor Abbey boxing club. Ciaran has improved greatly and is starting to realise what's needed in championships to get over the line. Conor Gargan won gold by way of walkover but is always ready to rumble. Well done boys.🥊☘️🥊☘️ keep it up
