Fishing for adults. Over the last few months we have had the pleasure of delivering a number of great fishing sessions to people in the Belfast area. Regular sessions delivered each week to Groups who need them and are interested in fishing. In the various programmes which have involved all age groups, Mental Health, Disability, School groups, Community groups, we have also delivered 1:1 sessions and have focused on providing all the information you need to know about starting out in fishing, bug hunting ( we deliver the programs about nature wildlife activities for kids from the schools, observe bugs with magnifying glass, use the bug hunt kit and Minibeast ID book). Most importantly is the water quality and safety. We have familiarised ourselves with the Northern Ireland Fishing Regulations through the workshops we have delivered. 95% of the sessions are practical sessions on the water, in different locations and venues around Belfast. We also deliver the programs in the centres when was the really bad weather. Over these few months we have managed to achieve a great goal together not only in fishing but also mentally, actively, physically, healthily, with challenges, and we have discussed many great topics regarding healthy living, nutrition etc. We have had the opportunity to meet many wonderful people, helping them and joining the club of about 230 people from this program in cooperation with Belfast City Council, Ligoniel Healthy Living Centre, Local Schools, NHS, Belfast Trust Groups (Disability, Mental health, brain injury, older people etc ). We continue our cooperation and start the new year with more big programs and ideas. Fishing is like a tree that has many different branches, and growing very well.
We would like to thank everyone who took part in the sessions, programs and events. Thank you to everyone who supported us.
See you soon
