Day 6: The final day is only one sleep away! We complained about the scorching weather at the start of the week but looking back at the injury-free, bouncy, sunny start we had it wasn't all that bad... I thought i'd share some photos from the last 2 days of our wee band trying to gather up what miles we could before the final trek. A miserable looking bunch, but all in good form thankfully. Only 28 miles to go tomorrow and i'll be doing my best to run what I can. Thanks again for everyone who has helped and donated from all over the globe. I think we've achieved something really special.
Day 2 started strong, 15 miles to Donaghadee harbour where we got to quench our broken bodies in the sea followed by busting right through the £5000 target for (hence the celebrations). Then, about 3 miles from the end of the day, my left leg gave up on me - forcing me to walk. Not to worry though, we're still churning through the miles.

Day 1 well and truly smashed! Had an absolutely class team with me in the support cars. The weather and the coastal roads of Co. Down were incredible and i've left today relatively unscathed. On top of a great day's running, we made massive movements with the donations too! Thanks again for all the support - i'm on a real buzz that I hope we can keep up with all these positive vibes. Cheers folks!

Got this in the post today! Thanks for showing your support! i've been telling people that it'll be a mental game as much as it will be a physical challenge and things like this are definitely putting me in the right mood to smash it next week! @ Belfast

1 Week Out. Wow. This time next week i'll have already started running "Down to Derry" -- isn't that mental? Some news anyway:: (1) We passed £3000 in donations this morning so thanks again to everyone so far - starting to think we actually might hit the big 5K! (2) I have filled out the schedule for Saturday >> Tuesday so if anyone else is free to run any of Wednesday (Ballycastle To Bushmills), Thursday (Bushmills to Coleraine) or Friday (Coleraine to Derry) please let me know! 1 WEEK!! HOLY S**T!!

We flew over to Edinburgh this weekend to catch the hilarious performing his show "The Duality of Man" at the Fringe. After making sure our cheeks were suffiently sore from laughing, he left us all with teary eyes as well when he announced that all the ticket sales from last night's show would be going towards the donations to Epilepsy Action for the run! What an absolute gentleman! Congratulations on this week lad and thanks for your incredible support.

See here: A man who has bitten off more than he can chew as he stares anxiously ahead at the next 3 weekends of 16, 18 and 20 mile long-runs... Paddy's Day is over, time to put down the pints and pick up the pace...

i'm hiring. Not all "healthy" meals have to be boring. In fact, everything I eat tastes pure class and has nutritional value. Imagine!

"In 3 more miles, it'll only be 1 more mile until I have to run 4 more miles..." Not the easiest half marathon i've ran, but no doubt there will be harder ones to come.
