𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐥𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐇𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐲 🏑

This morning at Stormont I was pleased to meet with Marc Scott from Ulster Hockey and hear directly of the excellent work they are doing as well as challenges being faced. Hockey is the third biggest sport in Northern Ireland and makes a huge difference in so many people’s lives.

As a former hockey player from Kilkeel it was great to have the opportunity to discuss our local hockey successes as well as opportunities to grow the sport across South Down and Northern Ireland through our local Clubs and schools.

I look forward to working further with Marc and the team on recognising opportunities for the future and linking with our Communities Minister Gordon Lyons MLA and Education Minister Paul Givan MLA.

The side beat Czech opponents TJ Plzen 4-1 in the final at Havelock Park.
