PCA Irish Open

Under UK government directives gymnasiums have closed their doors in order to combat the spread of Covid-19, this is undoubtedly a necessary requirement. Drastic measures will be needed to defeat this threat.⁣

PCA are privileged to be deeply involved in British Bodybuilding at all levels and we would like to make a few observations. ⁣
⁣
In our opinion Independent gyms are the beating heart of our sport. Typically driven forward by the positive energy of a single person. Occasionally you’ll see a couple, but rarely more than two. ⁣
⁣
What these people bring to the table is a huge amount of personality. They are almost always personable, knowledgeable & with a wealth of hints, tips, stories & anecdotes. These gyms are the shop floor of our Bodybuilding Community. ⁣
⁣
You should know that in these uncertain times many gyms will be forced to close their doors PERMANENTLY if they are not be able to cover their rent and overheads. ⁣

Years of investment in equipment, personal relationships & reputation has the potential to be washed away in a matter of months. I can’t believe that anyone would want that. ⁣
⁣
Our request is simple, if you CAN afford to continue your membership payment then please do so. Clearly times are tough for everyone right now & we are reaching out to the bodybuilding community- and we ARE a community- please support your local gym. ⁣
