The Belfast YMCA Judo Club ran from the 60s/70s until the late 1980s. It was based in Wellington Place YMCA until it relocated to Maysfield Leisure Centre.
The Judo club consisted of both male and female groups in both Junior & Seniors ranging from primary school age right up to adult. It operated all throughout the troubles and was one of the fewee clubs that truely had a cross community demographic populated by members from all over Belfast and further afield.
