Our thoughts on tomorrow night.

With the exception of the Wales game, Northern Ireland have not played a high stakes 'winner takes all' game under Michael O'Neill. Remember - to their credit - they qualified with games to spare for both the Euros, the knockouts at the Euros (well, kind of) and indeed this playoff.

So - the idea of a high pressure, MUST win 90 minutes in Basel would be relatively unchartered waters for this squad of players.

While we wouldn't suggest they aren't up for keeping a cool head under such pressure - a result tomorrow feels absolutely crucial.

Remember - a 1-0 win at Windsor means if Northern Ireland score in Basel, Switzerland need to get 3! Any win without reply would give us endless confidence - even a 0-0 draw means we can look to score out there then shut up shop - something we're particularly good at.

Hi everyone - just a note to say that unfortunately there will NOT be a fanzone for the playoff games.

May we recommend you visit your local pub - the one that shows matches all year round and thus deserve your trade!
