📢 OFFICIAL STATEMENT – ST PAUL’S ABC

At St Paul’s ABC, we are a non‑sectarian, inclusive club. We believe firmly that everyone has the right to participate in sport — regardless of their background, ethnicity, culture, nationality, or where they come from.

We fully welcome and support migrant communities and families who have made Belfast their home. We recognise that many arrive through proper legal routes, following all required procedures, regulations, and Home Office rules to build a new life here. We see first‑hand the vital role they play in our city — working hard in our hospitals, public services, and local businesses, and contributing positively to our community every day.

Sport is part of Belfast’s fabric. It brings people together, teaches discipline, respect, and fair play, and helps build a stronger, united city. For anyone who wants to train, compete, and be part of a positive environment — you are welcome here.

doors are open to anyone who meets our membership requirements, respects our values, and wants to improve themselves through boxing.

St Paul’s ABC stands for strength, respect, and community — for all.

🏆 JOHNNY CALDWELL BOXER OF THE YEAR AWARD 🏆

This Sunday 14 June at Beechlawns Hotel, St Paul’s ABC will present our top honour — the Johnny Caldwell Boxer of the Year Cup.

Johnny Caldwell was a true legend of West Belfast boxing — an Olympic medallist, European and World champion, and a proud product of Immaculata ABC. He inspired generations right here in Belfast, proving that heart, discipline and hard work can take you all the way to the top.

Naming our club’s biggest award in his memory means more than just a trophy — it celebrates the grit, talent and community spirit Johnny stood for.

📅 This Sunday — first bout 3 pm
✅ 20 top‑class contests + exhibition bouts
âś… Full awards ceremony straight after the fights
✅ Who will follow in Johnny’s footsteps and lift this year’s cup?

Come along, bring family and friends, and help us honour a Belfast great while cheering on our young boxers! 🥊💚🤍

✨ Pro Rank Dylan Eagleson ✨

Everyone at St Paul’s Amateur Boxing Club Belfast is incredibly proud of former club boxer Dylan Eagleson, who has now signed with Zuffa Boxing and turned professional – fulfilling what every young amateur dreams of achieving.

Dylan first joined St Paul’s aged 13, having started boxing even earlier with Abbey ABC in Bangor. Straight away he made his mark:
✅ Won his first Irish title while wearing the St Paul’s vest
âś… Represented Ireland at international level taking home medals at u18 u22 & Elite championships
âś… Represented Northern Ireland at the Commonwealth Games and came home with Gold
âś… Collected multiple local & national titles and stood out in every tournament he boxed in Home & abroad

From a young lad training in the gym to competing on the biggest stages – we have so many great memories of Dylan and everything he achieved as an amateur. Now he’s stepping into the pro game as a 5’5” featherweight, ready to make his debut.

We wish Dylan all the best in this new chapter, and will be cheering him all the way – because one day, we truly believe he can go all the way and become World Champion.

Good luck Dylan – from everyone at St Paul’s ABC 🥊
