The Tridents are back!

Club Secretary Aaron Cuskeran had this to say "The Tridents are thrilled to be returning to the cup. We hope this season brings the same enjoyment, camaraderie, and competitive spirit that made last year so special. We look forward to seeing everyone back on the ice.”

The Tridents were very strong last year, making it all the way to the final. They'll definitely be ones to watch this year.

The Foxes are back!

Belfast Foxes have committed two teams to our First Division for the 2026/27 Season of the NSMC.
Following on from the most dominant performance ever seen within the First Division, Foxes1 will return with hopes of continuring their winning ways.
Foxes2 are back again, after going from strength to strength as last season progressed, we're excited to see them this year again.

The 2026 Elite division of the NSMC is locked in! 5 teams will do battle for the coveted NSMC trophy.
This will be a very tight division, with each team scrambling over the summer to acquire new signings, utilise training slots and push their players to bring their A come come September.
There's never been a boring game in the Elite division and this year will be no different, roll on September and let the competition begin.

N.I Spartans are here!

The Spartans are back in the NSMC after a couple of years hiatus, looking to make a name within our First Division.
Coach Jake Norris had this to say "The N.I Spartans are looking forward to entering a team in the Smeaton Cup First Division. The team will be a blend of experienced veterans and up and coming youngsters".

Belfast Renegades are back!
We're delighted to see this top tier team commit to the 2026/27 NSMC Elite Division. They have been a consistently strong presence since day one of the league.
Player/coach Gareth Martin had this to say "After 3 successful seasons in the NSMC topping the standings on each occasion and winning the playoff final 2 out of 3 times. The Belfast Renegades always have a marker on our backs. That's the way we like it. Over half the team have been playing hockey together since we were teenagers, and the younger players we bring in adapt to our winning ways. We are looking forward to the 26/27 season and defending our title"

One thing is for sure that "marker on their backs" will have every team in the Elite Division out to take them down.
