Our leagues may have finished 2 weeks ago, but we are still open throughout the summer. This week our summer pairs leagues started and this evening we welcomed two bowling clubs to the stadium for some bowling, food and a bit of craic! Special thanks to Lorna for bringing the rowdy bunch from Saintfield bowling club and Jeremy who brought the more sedate bunch from Inverbrena bowling club. We hope you enjoyed your evening!!

In our final league of the week and final set of matches in our winter season we had an undefeated pair who competed in the Fridays evening 3 bowl pairs.

This competition is played over two sets and quite remarkably the winners Mark McPeak and Stuart Bennett sailed through the year without dropping a single set..wow πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ†

Congratulations to both players on a brilliant competition.

Seen getting their winnings are Mark and Stuart from Mr Lawrence Long.

Our Friday morning pairs league was yet another highly competitive competition that went to the final week.

At various times Janet and David Hamilton have led but it came down to Peter Campbell and Fred Murdock to battle for the honours.

Both had tricky games Fred against Jim McGettrick and Peter against Mr Maurice
McKeown.

Peter got a bonus point in a loss to Maurice while Fred and partner David Livingstone squeezed over the line with a two shot winπŸ…

Congratulations to Fred and David, fill up the car πŸš— with the winnings for a trip to the end of the street 😁

Please give the lads a Like and a share if you could πŸ‘πŸ‘

Richard and the committee would like to thank David W Scott aka David Bailey for all of his outstanding work this year particularly in supporting our page with his photography.

David was also the instigator of the idea to split the senior Wednesday pairs league and brought forward the suggestion of an intermediate league that was followed up by Mr Jim Frazer.

Always there to give a hand with short mat preparation he is a credit to the club πŸ’–

Thank you David, we look forward to working you even harder next year πŸ˜πŸ˜‰

He is seen here with a special award for his services 😊

And please give David a Like as a token of our appreciation πŸ™

We had yet another thrilling end to a league last night when Gareth and Kris McKee played each other. The winner would take the title πŸ†

The match didn’t disappoint with some wonderful bowls being played by both rinks.

In the end it was Gareth who won out alongside his playing partners the brilliant lead that he is Glen supported at second by William and Michael Cameron who had a terrific game at third.

Congratulations to them and also to Kris and his colleagues who made this competition so close

Please give the guys a Like ❀️ and a share πŸ†πŸŽ‰πŸ™
