What a night to remember! 👏🎱
Along with the staff and players from Pocket Rockets A & B, I attended the Belfast Interpool League Presentation Night and Individual Finals, and what a fantastic night it was.
The support on the night was unbelievable, and the show put on by the committee was second to none. Credit where credit is due – every member of the committee deserves huge praise for the work they've put in throughout the season. The league has run brilliantly under your leadership, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and remembering that this is, at its heart, a pub and club league. Long may it continue, and hopefully we'll see the same committee standing again at the upcoming AGM.
Congratulations to Dan Gorman on winning the Premiership and Frankie McMeekin on winning the Championship. Hard luck also to our own members, McKeown and Matt Doc, who both played their part in a brilliant night of pool.
A special mention has to go to Phil and everyone at The Beehive for hosting the finals. Honestly, it was outstanding. I've recently been at the All-Ireland Championships and, in my opinion, the presentation of last night's final was every bit as good, if not better. The walkout music, lights, smoke machine and overall atmosphere gave the players the respect they deserved and made it feel like a true occasion.
As a friend of Phil's, I've already told him I'll help facilitate a major challenge (£€) match at the venue in the future. Whether that's an All-Belfast derby, Ireland vs England, or something completely different will depend on the interest, support and backing behind it. If the appetite is there, we'll do everything possible to make it happen and put on a show worthy of the players involved.
Any interested parties can reach out. Whatever table is preferred, we'll do our best to facilitate it, and accommodation and transport may also be negotiated.
Well done again to everyone involved. A brilliant night and a credit to Belfast pool. 👏🍻🎱

📢 NOTICE
The club will be closed on Friday to allow our staff and members to attend and enjoy the Belfast Interpool League Presentation, which starts at 6:00 PM in the Beehive, Falls Road.
We encourage all players to attend and show their support for this event. A great deal of hard work has been put into making the league a success by the Beehive staff and the league committee, and it would be fantastic to see strong support from all teams and players.
We look forward to celebrating another successful season together!

The summer league is now at full capacity, and unfortunately we won’t be taking any more teams this year. We do plan on making it even bigger next time around.
We’ll announce full fixture details early in the week following our players’ meeting on Tuesday.
Over the summer months, we’ll also be running a variety of competitions for all levels, with entry fees ranging from £10 up to £100 (16-player events).
We’ll also have some big announcements over the coming weeks, including new coaching programmes, “Pool for Schools” sessions with a former world champion, and exciting updates involving our sponsored player Tom Cousins — so keep your eyes peeled.

Best of luck to all the lads playing in the last 16 today. Special mention to our very own Daimen Campbell — big “Fester the Pester” — you’re more than capable of winning this. Go out and do it!
A big crowd is expected out in the Beehive today to support you all. 💪👏

Morning folks,
We’ve now got 10 teams signed up for the Summer League (5-a-side).
Matches will be played one night per week — either Tuesday or Thursday — with fixtures generated randomly and an 8pm start time.
Each match will be 25 frames with 2 tables per game to make sure everyone gets plenty of pool throughout the night. All games must be played out.
As this is our first year running the league, we’re limiting it to 12 teams and operating as a single division only. The plan for next year is to grow the league and introduce multiple divisions.
If you’re interested in entering a team, please get in touch. The closing date for entries is Monday 1st June.
A meeting will take place on Thursday 2nd June to explain everything properly and make sure the league runs smoothly. Attendance is mandatory, with at least one representative required from each team.
Following the meeting, we’ll have a £15 per head flyer for anyone who’s interested.
Thanks,
Gerry
