Meditation is the practice of staying present, but for many of us it can be hard to set the time aside because we think we're too busy or we don't like sitting still - familiar?
Just this week I've started offering my first package of meditation sessions in the workplace and so far they've been very well received, with some people so relaxed they even fall asleep!
What's most important here, is to see the demand for yoga and meditation grow, as those responsible employers create a healthy work environment for staff.
Not only are companies reaping the benefits financially, they're also providing an option for people in Northern Ireland to take positive action towards investing in their physical and emotional health.
And I think that's what we all need right now, don't you?

Meanwhile at Neueda...
We teach two yoga sessions on site each week and they've recently installed a playstation.
This is a progressive work culture and perfectly demonstrates a healthy and responsible work environment where the employee's are valued.
Here's the thing;
People are happier when they're appreciated and more innovative with sufficient rest.
So imagine enjoying yourself in work..
It is possible, and this lot are nailing it.

It can be easy to talk yourself out of it, but practice is always the best distraction. I've been focusing more on lower body, hips and legs these past few weeks whilst I rest my shoulder. I'm looking forward to kinstretch with the guys as a form of alternative rehab. @ Belfast

I'm offering a practice of Yin yoga this November .yoga in Belfast.
The workshop is themed on recovery and is a great practice for those who are very active with sports such as running and cycling and would like to spend some time working deep into connective tissue otherwise known as Fascia. Some of the staff at Clarendon taking an hour to stretch it out before work.
Establishing an early morning yoga practice will help to regulate your sleep pattern, loosen up the muscles in the body and boost mental clarity.
Due to the early start often times, students from this particular class will say to me, "Alexa, I had to drag myself to get here this morning, but as soon as I'm on my mat I'm fine and I'm always so glad I did." Well I'm glad you did too!
Staying motivated is half of the battle, but you'll never regret the exercise so don't let the monkey win 🙈
