Another fantastic day for our Bellshill Sharks at Club La Santa! ❤️🖤

Today’s activities brought a great mix of fun, fitness and friendly competition, with our swimmers enjoying squash, beach volleyball, padel and aqua jogging. 🏓🏐🎾💦

After an active morning, it was time to slow things down, relax and recharge, with some of our Sharks enjoying a bit of chill time at the leisure pool! 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️☀️

It’s brilliant to see everyone making the most of this experience, building friendships, supporting one another and creating memories together both in and out of the pool. ❤️🦈

🌴🦈 LANZAROTE TRAINING CAMP UPDATE! 🦈🌴

Our Bellshill Sharks are making the most of every moment in Lanzarote! ☀️🇪🇸

The day kicked off at Club La Santa with a morning stretch and swim session, before the team swapped the pool for a whole range of sporting activities! 🏊‍♂️💪

From beach volleyball to squash, badminton, pickleball, table tennis and basketball, our swimmers have been embracing every opportunity to stay active, try new sports and, most importantly, enjoy time together as a team! 🏐🏸🏓🏀

And the hard work doesn’t stop there… Session 4 is now underway! 🔥🏊‍♀️

Training hard, having fun, building friendships and creating memories that will last a lifetime. ❤️

Today, 24 of our Bellshill Sharks swimmers, alongside our dedicated coaches and team managers, are flying to Lanzarote for an exciting swimming training camp! ✈️🌴

A fantastic experience awaits our Sharks, with plenty of sunshine, focused training sessions, new challenges, and, of course, lots of fun together as one team! 💪🏊‍♀️

Training camps are about so much more than swimming — they’re about building friendships, strengthening team spirit, developing skills, pushing boundaries, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. ❤️💙

🦈🏊‍♂️ WHAT A WEEKEND FOR BELLSHILL SHARKS! 🏊‍♀️🦈

Last weekend our swimmers were back in action at the Cumbernauld Meet — and what a fantastic performance from the whole team! 🔥

An incredible number of PBs, brilliant racing and a massive haul of 21 MEDALS! 🏅

🥈 9 SILVER
🥉 5 BRONZE

Every race showed the hard work, commitment and determination our swimmers are putting into training week after week.

But it’s not only about the medals — seeing so many personal bests, strong performances and our swimmers supporting each other throughout the weekend makes us incredibly proud. ❤️🦈

A huge congratulations to every single Shark who competed, and a massive thank you to our coaches, volunteers, officials and parents for their continued support.

The swimmers named him Busby, and judging by the reaction already… we think he’s officially part of the team! 😂🦈

🏊‍♂️🦈 WHAT A WAY TO START THE NEW SEASON! 🦈🏊‍♀️

Today marked our first long course training session of the new season, and our Bellshill Sharks swimmers had a pretty special start! 🔥

This morning, our swimmers had the privilege of sharing the same pool with Olympic Champion Tom Dean 🇬🇧🥇

What an incredible experience for our young athletes to train alongside one of Britain’s very best swimmers — a brilliant reminder of where hard work, commitment and dedication can take you. 💪

A new season means new goals, new PBs, new challenges and new opportunities!

The hard work starts now… and we can’t wait to see what this season brings for our Sharks! ❤️🦈

🦈🔥 WHAT AN AMAZING SESSION 5 AT OUR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS! 🔥🦈

Today’s session brought together some of the fastest swimmers in the club for an action-packed evening of racing, starting with the explosive 50m Freestyle before moving into the challenging 200m Individual Medley.

⚡ 50m FREESTYLE – PURE SPEED! ⚡

The 50m Freestyle is the fastest pool race in competitive swimming — one length of all-out speed where every fraction of a second matters.

There is almost no room for error.

A powerful start, explosive underwater work, perfect technique, maximum speed and a perfectly timed finish can be the difference between winning and missing out by hundredths of a second.

And our Sharks certainly delivered! 🏊‍♂️💨

After some incredible heats, the action continued with the 50m Freestyle Finals, where we saw phenomenal racing as our fastest swimmers went head-to-head for the best positions in the Club Championships.

Then came the 200m Individual Medley — one of the toughest and most complete races in swimming.

Butterfly. Backstroke. Breaststroke. Freestyle.

Four strokes.
200 metres.
Speed, technique, endurance and determination all put to the test.

And for the fastest six qualifiers, there was still one more challenge waiting…

🔥🦈 THE SKINS! 🦈🔥

Skins racing is exciting, unpredictable and fun to watch — but for the swimmers it is also emotional, exhausting and a real test of character.

Race after race.
Different strokes.
Very little recovery.
One swimmer eliminated each round.

It takes endurance, technique across every stroke, quick recovery and huge determination to stay in the competition right to the end.

And tonight we crowned our Skins Champions! 🏆

🏆 Senior Boys Skins Champion – Aaron
🏆 Senior Girls Skins Champion – Allanah

A massive congratulations to all four of our champions! ❤️🦈

But also a huge well done to every swimmer who raced today.

From the explosive 50m Freestyle to the demanding 200m IM and the pressure of the Skins, our swimmers showed speed, courage, technique, sportsmanship and determination throughout the entire session.
