After a long absence, I am pleased to announce that Societies Rugby is BACK! On offer tomorrow are two highly anticipated matches between four teams eager to impress and entertain.

Kicking off at 13:30, PHYSTORY, a society that is always seriously challenging for the title, takes on POLITICS who in recent times have become increasingly competitive at the top of the table.

Following that game, at 14:30, CARBS, who have had their struggles recently aim to bounce back against the league newcomers in EARTH who are out to show what they can do and prove they belong at the top.

Head down to Blackweir Fields for an afternoon of entertainment and high quality rugby.

This is an afternoon of rugby you do not want to miss!

Today saw the semi finals get played at Cardiff Arms Park in front of some very vocal support. Politics and Phystory played out a very competitive game with both sides creating chances. Eventually however, Phystory came out on top winning 22-12. Carbs and Baa Baas 1 played in the second semi final which also turned out to be a very tight contest. In the end, Baa Baas 1 edged the contest to make the final 15-14.

Next week sees the return of finals day at Cardiff Arms Park and the return of 5 games on the bounce.

The fixtures next week will be:

13:05: 9th v 10th - Chemistry v Baa Baas 2
14:15: 7th v 8th - Bioscience v Engine
15:25: 5th v 6th GymGym v Law
16:35: 3rd/4th Playoff - Politics v CARBS
17:45: Final - Phystory v Baa Baas 1

The bar will be open all afternoon and I don't need to tell you how good an afternoon of rugby it will be. I urge as many people as possible to come down and show your support to all societies. Finally, the support today was good but next week it can be better, next week let's bring the noise!
