⚽️ Hawick Legion Afc 0 - 2 Tweedmouth Amateurs ⚽️
Today seen the Tweedmouth lads travel over to Hawick again today for the 2nd consecutive weekend to face Hawick Legion. Tweedmouth came away from Brunton Park with all 3 points. Keeping the unbeaten start going from the start of the season.
Hawick Legion got the first half underway, which seen both sides keeping the ball well and playing some good football. Tweedmouth then took a grip of the game, controlling the ball in possession creating a number of good chances without taking them, but also defending the Tweedmouth box well, limiting the homeside to long shots from distance. The Tweedmouth midfield controlling the game by breaking up playing and winning the ball back.
Tweedmouth then opened the scoring when the Tweedmouth midfield won the ball back and played the wall out wide, as the Hawick full back brought down the attacker, with quick thinking from Brandon Hossack, took a quick free kick to pass to Zander Martin, who delivered a delightful 30 yard cross field cross into the box which was meet by Kyle Wood to loop his header over the Home side keeper. 0 - 1.
The 2nd goal soon followed. When Tweedmouth played some nice football to play themselves up the pitch. As the ball found itself at the feet of Brandon Hossack who placed a nice through ball into the path of Jay Furness who lifted his shot passed the onrushing keeper. 0 - 2.
Tweedmouth had the ball in the back of the home side net for a 3rd time, when Michael Antcliff lofted his cross to the back post for Kyle Wood to head passed the keeper again but was disallowed by the Ref for a questionable offside.
HT 0 - 2.
Tweedmouth got the 2nd underway and was very much the same as the first, both teams playing nice football. Tweedmouth creating a number of good chances to extend their lead without taking any. Also the Tweedmouth defence giving very little chances to the home side, limiting the home side to only having 1 shot on target during the full 90minutes.
The Ref blew his whistle for the final time to bring the game to an end. Giving the Tweedmouth lads the 3 points in a very commanding game.
