Betws-y-Coed Golf Club is located at the edge of the popular tourist village of Betws-y-Coed in the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales.

Congratulations also go out to Jason Spencer on finishing 2nd in the County Championships last weekend. 👏👏

Jason shot an excellent gross score of 71 at Rhos-on-Sea Golf Club, being pipped by one shot for the title which went to Conwy's Lee Jones. Our Congratulations also go out to Lee Jones on his victory. 👏

Jase also took the runners-up spot in the nett competition, losing the prize on a card countback.

Well done Jason, and thanks once again for doing our club so proud 👏

⛳👀 DISCOVER THE COURSE #1 👀⛳

🏌HOLE(S) 1 & 10 – "ABERLLYN" 🏌

The opening hole at Betws-y-coed Golf Club is a short Par 4, at just under 300 yards, which eases you into your round but does present its own challenges.

With trees lining both sides of the fairway, and out of bounds running all the way up the left hand side, your first tee shot requires accuracy. A couple of strategically placed bunkers are ready to gobble up any tee shots which fail to find the short grass.

An inviting approach shot awaits as you play into a green that slopes gently from the rear to the front, and is guarded by two greenside bunkers. However it is worth ensuring that you have the correct yardage, as an overhit approach could disappear down the steep runaway and leave a challenging chip from below the bank at the back of the green.

Played from the 10th tee, the hole is slightly shorter again, but is played as a more extreme “dogleg” from right to left.
