Another successful trail maintenance session with a great group of volunteers. So good to see more folk coming along and getting involved. 😊

Work continues on Wynnie’s and it will need to remain closed until we have a significant amount more rain to consolidate today’s work. Thanks for your patience as we continue the quest to 🙏

**Please get in touch if you’d like to help out. Next dig will be Sunday September 27th. ** Oh, and you get cake too!! 🍰🧁

New signage at Wylies exit. Please get off and walk bike to road. There’s no Strava segment to KOM/QOM here!

* Note* final section of trail is still closed but we plan to reopen soon. 😊

Big thanks to Ross and burnt_offerings_wales for the sign. 🙏

Some great work by today’s volunteers on Granny Smasher and Gorilla Biscuitz. Trails are now clear of brambles, bracken summer overgrowth and loose stones.

If you’d like to help out and support our efforts, drop a message below.

Sad to report some pretty serious trail sabotage on the final section of Wylies.

We do not want conflict with locals on this hill. Please DO NOT RIDE the final rock roll and turns to the road.
Use KINGUD exit instead. We will work towards creating a better exit. For now, please be patient and avoid. 😢

Another great team effort from our volunteers and Trail Collective North Wales dig leaders. ☺️🙏

Breathing new life into a very tired section of trail is so satisfying! Well done everybody and many thanks for showing up and supporting us.

In true North Wales style we had 50/50 men / women out today! 😬👏

Mae’r gwaith yn rhan o rhaglen deneuo’r goedwig yn flynyddol ac yn cynnwys torri coed llarwydd sydd wedi’u heintio gan Phytophthora ramorum, clirio coed oedd wedi’i niweidio yn ystod y stormydd diweddar, a theneuo rhywogaethau eraill o goniffer yn unol â’r Cynllun Dylunio Coedwig.

🚶‍♀️🚴‍♂️ Gall rhai llwybrau cerdded a beicio gael eu cau neu eu dargyfeirio dros dro yn ystod y gwaith am resymau diogelwch. Bydd Hawliau Tramwy Cyhoeddus yn cael ei reoli’n ofalus, a gall oedi ddigwydd yn ystod y gwaith neu pryd fydd lorïau’n symud pren.

May is not far off and is Take Care of Your Trails month and we’d like to highlight some of the points in our voluntary Code of Conduct. RESPECT 😊🙏

Let’s start with C for ‘cut lines’ (Strava lines) and trail braiding. This is a bigger issue this year than we’ve ever seen before.

We don’t ever want to discourage folk from having a blast either shredding or progressing their riding on these fantastic trails. But, please remember the trails were built to be ridden by the main line and are now maintained with drainage and erosion as the most important consideration.
Dealing with extra cut lines gives us even more work to do. We are doing our very best to keep these trails running sweet for you all to enjoy. Please help us out here and stick to the main line if you possibly can … 🙏👊

Our first evening maintenance session of 2026. ☺️☀️🤙

Thanks to everyone who came out to help this evening, we got lots done but there’s definitely a few more sessions needed to complete the Gorilla Biscuitz ‘Glow Up’!

Rain 🌧️☔️💧🌦️ is coming tomorrow so please ride mindfully as the ground is still soft. We’d be really grateful if you lovely lot avoided the trail for a few days to let it settle. 🙏

Many thanks for your understanding. Remember, drop us a DM if you’d like to get involved and join a trail maintenance session. 😬💪👊

**STORM DAVE** 💨🍃🌬️

Please let us know in comments below ⬇️ or on TrailForks if you find any trees down across trails today. 🙏

Expect branches and other debris to be on all trails in the Gwydir Forest. Please ride carefully and enjoy your Easter break!
😊🐣

Many thanks for helping out!

Many thanks to everyone who gave up their Sunday morning to work with us on the trails. We got so much done... Awesome! 😊
Please be aware that the newly reconstructed hip on the bottom section of Kingud is going to be soft for a few weeks. Please be patient and don’t ride it just yet! It is blocked and there’s a clear B line.
Wylies, Kingud, Bodger & Badger and Wynnie’s are now in fantastic condition after months of work by folk volunteering every weekend to keep these trails running sweet for you all. We sincerely hope it is appreciated.
So, enjoy the trails and if you’d like to join us sometime DM me and I’ll be in touch! 😬🤟
