The warm-up can make or break your competition day - and it's one of the things riders tell us they find hardest to get right.

Here are five things worth thinking about:

1️⃣ Starting too late. Give yourself more time than you think you need - especially at a new venue.
2️⃣ Doing too much. Your horse doesn't need to be exhausted before you go in. Save something for the test.
3️⃣ Ignoring the atmosphere. Let your horse look around and settle before you ask for work.
4️⃣ Riding your test in full. Run through movements, not the whole thing - you want it to feel fresh in the arena.
5️⃣ Forgetting to breathe. Sounds obvious. Genuinely easy to forget when you're nervous.

Working Hunter Show, plus Show Hunter classes - Saturday 25th July.

Held on rubber surfaced outdoor arena - no jumping on hard ground! This show is also a qualifier for the Sunshine Tour.

Rosettes to 6th place. Plenty of parking. Pre entries now open via www.equoevents.com but all entries accepted on the day.

Every year we are asked to hold Working Hunter shows and classes - we have a lovely set of working hunter fences for you to enjoy, and thoroughly enjoy hosting workers events. BUT - these shows can only continue with the entries, and support on the day.
