Introducing The Little Lodge… coming to Bank Farm Equestrian for 2027. 🤎

Our existing Glamping Lodge sleeps up to 11 guests, but we’ve often been asked whether we have somewhere smaller for couples, mother-and-daughter getaways or small groups of friends.

So, over the winter, we’re creating a cosy new space for smaller groups, with the horses right on your doorstep. 🐴

The Little Lodge will be taking bookings from 1st April 2027 - with cosy accommodation, private stabling, your own paddock and fantastic riding straight from the farm. (Don’t have you own horse? Hire one of ours!)

So… think you might be cut out for a day of trail hunting? 👀🐴

Our Trail Hunt Hire days are a proper full day out with the local pack, and they’re designed for confident, capable riders who are comfortable riding a forward-going horse in a busy field environment.

Our hire includes:
🐴 A well-turned-out, tacked-up horse for the day
🚛 Top-quality horse transport
🤝 An experienced chaperone throughout the day
🌳 Beautiful countryside and traditional trail riding
🐎 A proper old-school riding experience with a great group of people

Our hunt hire horses are all forward-going and can be lively when they’re out hunting, so these days are not suitable for nervous riders or anyone looking for a quiet, steady plod.

We have selected Wednesdays and Saturdays available November-March

Wednesdays - £225pp
Saturdays - £290pp

A £75 cap is payable directly to the Hunt Secretary on the day and is not included in the hire price.

You’ll need to be confident riding walk, trot, canter and gallop, comfortable managing a forward-going horse and capable of riding independently as part of a busy field.

Organised by Lorraine, yesterday we enjoyed a memorial ride through the forest, followed by a toast to a very special Bank Farm horse.

It was lovely to come together and remember him doing what he loved. 🤍

🐴 WANTED – 12.2hh BOMBPROOF COB / BEEN-THERE-DONE-IT TYPE 🐴

We’re tentatively looking for a genuine, safe 12.2hh-ish cob or sturdy pony to help teach a very brave six-year-old boy the ropes.

He currently has a lovely Shetland who will happily trot everywhere but has decided that cantering is not really on his agenda! 😂 We’re therefore looking for the next step up: a pony that will safely pop into canter off the lead rein, look after him and help build his confidence.

Absolute must-haves

* Safe, genuine and sensible with a small child
* No bucking, broncing or silly behaviour
* More “woah” than “go”, but with enough forwardness to canter when asked without constant kicking
* Sensible and reliable when hacking
* Happy to go both in front of and behind other horses
* Experienced enough to teach a child rather than needing significant education itself

Strong preferences

* A genuine ex-Pony Club type or proven “been there, done it” schoolmaster
* An older pony with plenty of experience
* Able to help him have fun and progress while continuing to look after him

He is brave as a lion, so safety and reliability are the priorities.

We’re not in a rush. We had not planned to buy until after Christmas or into spring, but timing would not be a deal-breaker for the right pony.

The pony would be coming to a very experienced, knowledgeable home with an active equestrian centre. We can offer a fantastic long-term home where the pony will be properly cared for, kept busy and very much part of the family, with a life full of amazing hacking in the Wyre Forest. They will also be a much-loved family pony.

If you’ve been thinking about coming to ride with us before the end of the year… this is your little reminder to get booked in! 👀🐴

We’re now down to barely any weekend availability between now and December, and our weekdays are filling up very quickly too.

With autumn hacks, festive rides and everything else happening at Bank Farm, the diary is getting busier by the day.

So if you’ve been saying “we really must come and ride there sometime…” well this is your sign. 😂

Whether you fancy a action packed hack through the Wyre Forest, a more relaxed-pace ride (minimum walk & trot), bringing your own horse, have a lesson, or trying one of our other experiences, don’t leave it until December to get in touch.

✨ CEDRIC - NOW ACTIVELY FOR SALE ✨

Absolutely beautiful 5YO 17–17.1hh grey gelding 🤍

Cedric arrived with us at the beginning of the summer still quite green around the edges and needing plenty of miles on the clock before we felt he was ready to be offered for sale.

He’s spent the summer working at Bank Farm and enjoying a really varied education, and he has come on enormously. He’s now ready to find his new home.

Cedric is a genuinely lovely, kind horse who is easy to do on the ground. He’ll happily go in front or behind and has all the attributes to make a fantastic hunter or quality all-round horse.

He’ll continue his education with us throughout the winter and is due to begin hunting. He hasn’t hunted yet, so we won’t claim that he has, but everything he’s shown us so far suggests he should make a very exciting prospect.

Cedric is currently priced at £10,500, which will increase as his education and experience progress.

A beautiful, genuine horse with a very promising future ahead of him. Serious enquiries are very welcome. 🤍

And if you like him, you might want to hurry up… because the more we do with this one, the more I like him myself! He could very easily end up being a keeper. 😂🤍
