Textured acrylic seascape- hope to get it finished over the weekend…quite happy so far 😊

Some times life is very serious, so I’ve had a play with mixed mediums! As noted on my previous post, I won’t be doing a chalk portrait on canvas again as you (or rather I) can’t get the detail or control I wanted but hey ho, I decided to have some fun instead of binning it off!

Have been busy with family events over the last wee while so not been painting but thought I’d come back to this partially done portrait. Lesson learnt- don’t do a reverse portrait on a black canvas with chalk as I wasn’t able to capture the kind of detail I like in a charcoal on paper but hey ho 🤷🏼‍♀️
