GoalGetters remained unbeaten with a win over BallBusters in a competitive match. Great netball from both teams, with Laura (GG) sharing some excellent tips out of the circle and Beth J keeping BB composed through the middle.

BT Bumblebees won vs Misfits in a high-scoring game. A big well done to Julie (MF) on her debut at Centre, while Emma (BTB) impressed after switching from GD to shooting in the second half!

Drunk Wives edged out Spice Goals in a brilliant game that finished just 2 goals apart after being goal-for-goal throughout. Things got chaotic when both teams realised the scores were level in the final quarter, with the wind on Court 3 adding to the challenge!

Tangerines won vs Nutty Netters in another fun match. Charlie (T), Emma (T) and Zoe (NN) all impressed with long-range shooting, while Liv (T) starred across defence, midcourt and attack—apart from one moment spent spinning in circles looking for the ball! 😂

Hoops secured the win over Pink Panthers, who continue to improve week by week. Highlights included Ellie-Mae’s creative use of the post for a throw-in, Sammie’s struggle to catch a ball in the first quarter, and a double Ellie MVP!

28.05.26 Results 🏐

BallBusters won against Pink Panthers in a great game from both teams. PP continue to improve, with BB offering plenty of encouragement throughout.
⭐️ Katy (BB) & Jane (PP)

GoalGetters extended their winning streak against BT Bumblebees in an end-to-end match. Highlights included a double Kate collision and a bumblebee spotted courtside cheering on its team! 🐝
⭐️ Michelle (GG) & Ellie (BTB)

Tangerines won versus Misfits in another fun game. Great on-court coaching and encouragement, with MF winning the final quarter strongly with lots of goals. Tangerines also welcomed back Ellen for a one-off return!
⭐️ Lucy (T) & Hannah + Frankie (MF)

Hoops beat Spice Goals by 6 in a close contest, lovely netball from both teams with a memorable three-player mid-court collision!

🩷 Congrats to Nai (DW), who got married abroad and officially became a Drunk Wife! Hope the team had a fab time celebrating!

Another brilliant evening of netball with sunshine and plenty of laughs all round! ☀️

BallBusters took the win over Spice Goals 35-21 in a well contested game that was level after the first quarter. The evening sun made spotting passes a challenge for everyone! MVPs both went to the Centres.⭐️ Izzy (SG) & Katy (BB)

BT Bumblebees beat Pink Panthers 30-9 in another positive game for both teams. Highlights included Gill (BTB) switching to GK and smashing it, while PP commented on how much stronger their team bond is becoming after only 3 matches together.⭐️ Emma (BTB) & Steph (PP)

Nutty Netters narrowly defeated Hoops by 3 goals in a close and enjoyable match. Sammie (H) provided one of the funniest moments of the evening after completely losing sight of the ball in the sun!⭐️ Grace (NN) & Alice (H)

Tangerines came away with the win against Drunk Wives in a loud, chaotic, laughter-filled game! Claire (T) showed off her inflatable arm-waver impression while Poppy (DW) kept her team entertained with a running commentary involving meerkats and LeBron James 😂 Big thanks to Izzy and Grace for helping Tangerines out!⭐️ Izzy (T) & Poppy (DW)

Spice Goals sit proudly at the top of the table! Close behind in 2nd are Drunk Wives and Pink Panthers in 3rd! 🩷

The middle of the table is incredibly tight, with three teams all locked on 10 points, so every game and bonus point really counts!

This is your reminder that showing up makes a huge difference. Those bonus points earned on our Welcome Night are already having an impact, and there are still plenty more up for grabs through umpiring and scoring duties. 🙌

GoalGetters came out on top against Tangerines in a competitive match. Memorable moments included Michelle being bandaged up and Tangerines’ goal machine Emma being kept scoreless in the first quarter!⭐️ Claire (T) & Tanya (GG)

BT Bumblebees took the win over fellow newcomers Spice Goals in a match interrupted by a sudden downpour. A big thank you to Chloe and Sadie for stepping in to help Spice Goals!⭐️ Erin D (SG) & Becky (BTB)

Drunk Wives and Hoops played out an exciting draw, with a chaotic final quarter as everyone realised just how close the scores were. Plenty of laughs all round!⭐️ Meg & Jemma (DW) & Kelly (H)

BallBusters were victorious over Nutty Netters in another enjoyable game, with both Livs putting in standout performances!⭐️ Liv (BB) & Liv (NN)

Misfits secured their first win of the season against Pink Panthers in a fantastic match. Misfits enjoyed the challenge of playing out of position, while Pink Panthers gave a special shoutout to the new umpires and to Ann for supporting their new players.⭐️ Char (MF) & Steph (PP)

First Games of the Season! ☀️

🏐 Pink Panthers took on the experienced GoalGetters, a great learning game for PP, with non-shooter Ester (GG) impressing with some huge long-range shots! ⭐️ Janet (GG) & Steph (PP)

🏐 Spice Goals edged out Misfits in a closely fought match to secure their first league win! Highlights included Erin H’s incredible catch between her knees and Jaymi laughing off a no-look overhead pass to the face! 😂⭐️ Erin H (SG) & Jaymi (MF)

🏐 BT Bumblebees made their debut against Nutty Netters in a competitive game. BTB thank NN for lending them a player after an injury left them short! ⭐️ Miche (NN) & Gill (BTB)

🏐 Tangerines vs Hoops was another entertaining and chaotic match, full of laughs as always, including Alice’s (H) monkey arms in the circle! A big welcome to Kaylie, who played her first game for Hoops! ⭐️ Sadie (T) and Alice (H)

League Welcome Night 🏐☀️

On Thursday we kicked off the season with our first league night - packed with skills, drills, and mixed matches to get everyone on the ball before games start next week!

So good to see loads of new faces, plus players already earning those bonus points 👏 Shoutout to Drunk Wives and new teams Spice Goals and Pink Panthers for top attendance!

Big thanks to the committee (and our league PE teacher Zoe!) for making it happen, and to all 54 players who showed up… a new record! 📈

A big well done to our lovely committee member Tina on passing her C Award Umpiring Qualification! 👏🥳

C Award is the next step on from INTO, certifying Tina to umpire as a higher level umpire in the county. She has put in so much hard work, both on the theory side and out on court! 💗

BFNL really is a great place to give umpiring a go (and earn those all-important bonus points for your team 🤩)! After all, with no umpires, there would be no games! 🏐

While we don’t expect Super League level umpiring, we do rely on volunteers from teams to step up so games can go ahead each week.

More experienced umpires may pick up additional rules as part of managing play.

We encourage everyone to have a go at umpiring, it helps understanding of the game and earns bonus points for your team! Chat to Anne or Tina for umpiring support 🙌
