Central Bedfordshire Council When are they coming to Biggleswade?
πProviding viable alternatives to owning a car; can help families to reduce the need for multiple vehicles, and at Β£35 a day, is less than the lease + plus insurance on many cars, and that's even if you used it everyday day!
Supplementing these types of schemes with better public transport, πquality active travel infrastructure and measures to encourage utility cycling, will reduce traffic and parking congestion and make our streets more pleasant. π΄πΌββοΈ

π©βπ¦½πΆπΌββοΈ This evening Biggleswade Cllr Andy Skilton had the opportunity to present our Clear Pavement Petition to the Sandy Town Council Environment Committee, and they've thrown their full support behind us! π They unanimously agreed to not only endorse our petition but also to reach out to CBC in support. They also plan to encourage their residents give examples of popr pavements, and to sign the petition. A huge shoutout to Sandy Town Council for their encouraging words and proactive stance. It's truly inspiring to meet and talk such an engaged and forward-thinking local council.
The momentum doesn't stop there! Following Biggleswade Town Council's endorsement last week and support from Streatley Parish Council, along with numerous uplifting messages from ward and parish councillors across the CBC area, it's clear our message is resonating loud and clear. π£ If you haven't had a chance to support our petition yet, now is the perfect time. Let's keep this momentum going! πͺ link in the comments. Leighton Linslade Living Streets

A hierarchy of road users doesn't remove the individual responsibility we have for our own safety. It simply places greater responsibility on those that pose the greatest risk.
This rule was introduced to the GB last year to help make our roads safer, particularly for the most vulnerable users.

Don't hug the kerb. Some cyclists worry that being further out may put them in the way of the traffic. But it won't: you are the traffic.
