The second book in The Power of the Poster series, The Athlete, is heading back into editing very soon.
This story follows a young girl with a disability as she discovers that the biggest barriers we face aren’t always the ones people can see.
Over the last few weeks, I’ve realised I hadn’t been brave enough with some of the storylines. I was playing it a little too safe. So I’ve gone back, made some big changes, and pushed the story to become what I always hoped it could be.
Now it’s back in the very capable hands of the wonderful Tess Jolly, who somehow manages to make sense of my ideas while patiently answering my endless questions and putting up with my complete lack of publishing knowledge!
So, Tess… fingers crossed you can work out the latest mess I’ve sent you. 😅
Every edit teaches me something new, and while this journey hasn’t always been easy, I’m determined to make this book the best it can be.
Here’s to the next stage of the journey.

Today is the day!!!
In a few hours, I’ll be walking into my very first school to deliver my workshop to the children… and honestly, I’m excited, nervous, proud and terrified all at the same time 😂
Once upon a time, I couldn’t wait to leave school. Now I’m heading back in with my own book, my own story and a message I truly believe in:
Believe in yourself.
These worksheets are ready, the nerves are kicking in, but if today helps even one child think differently about themselves or their dreams… then every bit of doubt was worth it.
“You don’t have to fit the mould to succeed.” 💙

Monday I’ll be doing my very first school visit… speaking to 3 classes about belief, confidence and chasing your dreams.
And honestly? I’m excited… but nervous too.
Funny really, because once upon a time I couldn’t wait to leave school. Even now, I’m still not quite sure how I feel walking back into one.
But if I can help just ONE child start believing in themselves a little more…If I can help ONE child realise they are capable of more than they think…
…then every doubt I’ve ever had becomes worth it.
Because sometimes it only takes one moment…one conversation…one bit of belief…to start somebody on the path towards their dreams.
And it all starts with believing 💛

Honestly… thank you so much to everyone who has taken the time to leave a review.
It’s genuinely blown my mind and just shows what great people I’ve got around me.
You probably don’t realise how much this helps push the book and get it in front of more children.
I appreciate every single one of you ❤️
Happy Easter everyone 🐣

I’m on 49 reviews for my book 😅
Trying to hit 50 today 🙏🏽
If you’ve got 30 seconds to leave even a one word review on Amazon I’d massively appreciate it ❤️

To all you lovely people,
I want to ask if you can help me reach 50 reviews on my book on Amazon.
The more reviews I get, the more Amazon shows the book to other people.
I couldn’t tell you just how much this would help me keep this going and reach more children.
Even a one-word review would make such a difference.
It will truly be appreciated ❤️

Something unexpected has been happening behind the scenes lately.
A short story I wrote called “The Boy and the Shadow” - about fear, courage, and learning that our fears can sometimes guide us, may soon be connected to something really special.
Nothing confirmed yet… but if it comes together the way I hope, it could help support something that really matters.
Sometimes the smallest stories can carry the biggest messages.
More soon.

Being tagged in something like this means more than any sales number.
When I wrote The Power of the Poster: The Footballer, I hoped it might help a few children believe in themselves a little more.
Seeing teachers connecting with the message and passing that on to their students is something I never imagined.
Thank you for sharing this and for everything you do for the children at Therpfield.
The Unlikely Author continues. 💙
