Wet flannels chilling in the refrigerator ready for Your Yoga classes tomorrow.
Did you know that a cold flannel placed on the face, back of the neck or wrists not only cools the body temperature down!
Get more wellbeing with this simple ancient method, which also soothes the nervous system by triggering the mammalian dive reflex (an automatic survival response) & stimulates the Vagus Nerve. It sends a direct message to the brain to calm down.
A simple cold touch can quickly lower an elevated heart rate and calm a racing nervous system. Say goodbye to overheating, give your brain a break, and soothe your nervous system.
There are still spaces in class tomorrow and Saturday, DM đ

This weeks Your Yoga practices have been with a focus of continuing to navigate through an overwhelming summer.
Whilst summer can bring much fun and a change of routine, our energies can run low.
Wednesday and Fridays Restorative classes have been stimulating the Vagus nerve with a cool wet flannel placed upon our pulse areas, receiving the coolness but far beyond this, these strategic positions on the body add depth for dominance to the Vagus nerve sending calming messages to the rest and digest nerve (parasympathetic). Post class the students then shared;
- Will we be able to have hot towels in the winterâ
- âI feel so relaxedâ
- âWill definitely see you at next weeks classâ
- âThis was a beautiful experienceâ
- âI have such a peaceful feelingâ
Monday, Friday and Saturdays (still to come) Hatha classes have been an opportunity to visualise, meditate standing and sensing the great outdoors, a connection to nature during a slow yet strong flow and paused poses.
post class the students then shared;
- âI feel so much more energised nowâ
- âI feel a lot more open and balancedâ
- âI didnât want the class to endâ
- âThat was a great experienceâ
- âThe time went to quickâ
- âLoved thatâ
- âI will defo be here next weekâ

Let Your Yoga support you in your everyday.
With a regular wellbeing practice, yoga can take one through uncomfortable times of stillness, quiet, and a little depth, but in time this can result in being comfortable with the uncomfortable.
We all have thoughts, it's the relationship we have with our thoughts that matters.
