No PB’s like but a great day lifting. 6 weeks out from a powerlifting comp so my weightlifting has been on hold so quite happy to hit my PB sn**ch for 2 doubles. My clean and jerk ropey but great input from .martin.1042 and .dave so according to my squat numbers I should be lifting a hell of a lot more then I am. 😂😭After July it’s 5 months of really investing and getting better. Coach has his work cut out 😍 **ch

Thursday morning work and someone is bored. Trying to write an updated manual for SMT level 3 and 4. One unit in and we’ve had enough. Honey will be qualified and taking bookings by the end of July

Me and Bob in our empty class room taking selfies! What else is their to do when your students are off taking exams. Today I felt so proud,my students absolutely smashed their anatomy exam. The work these guys have put in has been inspiring.
I saw the paper afterwards and it wasn’t easy. I never doubted them even if a couple of them were surprised they passed.

It’s nearly that time of the year for assessments! Curriculum all learned for my level 4’s. Now it’s just a case of putting it all together and practice practice practice. When it comes to anatomy revision never underestimate a flow chart. You can easily see what you know and what needs work. Repetition is key.
Happy learning! &P

Worked up to a heavy single and it was a PB at 110kg. Building up my base with AMRAPS has clearly helped. Back offs were not so much fun. Next week no more AMRAPS it’s time to get ready for comp in July 😱 As always great crowd in today if it wasn’t for some gentle bullying I wouldn’t of even attempted the 110kg.

School trip! Yesterday it was such a privilege to take some of my students to their first event the London Marathon where they all did an amazing job of massaging runners for the charity CRY (cardiac risk in the young) some real inspirational stories. The feedback was brilliant and I’m so impressed with them all. They are set to be successful therapists.

AMRAP’s are life! On days like today I didn’t want to train on my own at home. When you have to squat 80% for reps after 3x5 you just need people around for encouragement. I could of squeezed out more but couldn’t get my head in the game but I hit 10 reps so the weight still goes up 💪 great place to train always the support you need and possibly some friendly abuse as well but it’s all fun.

My quest to be a semi decent weightlifter is still ongoing! So much to work on. It’s all light weight while I try and get some technique going on. Shocking but there is actually an improvement 😳 My squat is going up but all the volume makes for tired legs. AMRAP squats plus weightlifting is hard. One day I will move fast.

I’ve been on at this girl for years to compete. Someone that trains as hard and as much as her should be on the stage. She’s in good hands and we are her number one fans and official photographer😂 First photo shoot in the garage gym.

Well done to my strong friends lifting yesterday and today. You are all awesome 💪 These Guys all work so hard to bring it to the platform it’s inspiring to be around. Maybe one day I can be this strong. Until then I’m happy to cheer you all on. Always fun watching big weights being chucked around.
