Is 2023 the time to stop lying to yourself?

The truth is, we can all find the time for things if we CHOOSE to … if we make those things a PRIORITY …. if we create a desire to do them that is greater than the desire NOT to.

With 1440 minutes in each and every day, can you honestly say you can’t find 30 to allocate to your health and emotional well-being?

Of course it’s a choice … if you don’t truly want to, then don’t BUT if you do want to, and you want the outcomes and results you’ll get from doing it, then STOP using time as an excuse.

1) Set your intention
2) Make your goals small and realistic
3) Make a plan!!
4) Start describing it as a priority not a chore
5) Journal how you feel after a workout
6) Until you form that new exercise habit, LIE to yourself 🤣

If you currently say in your head ‘I hate this’ … ‘getting up early is painful’ ‘I wish I wasn’t doing this right now’ ‘I’d do anything to stop right now’ ‘I can’t be bothered to do it’ etc then STOP! Start telling yourself little white lies that take you towards your health and fitness goals and not away from them…
in time, those lies will become your truth if you repeat them enough times.

Two of my passions, exercise and positive mindset in one powerful video 💙

Our mind is SOOoooo powerful … and WE have the power to CHOOSE what we think about ourselves and say to ourselves; and what we DO say, determines our feelings, which affects our actions which creates our outcomes.

We’ve all heard the expression ‘do what you’ve always done; get what you’ve always got’

This incredible dad had an inner dialogue of ‘I can’ ‘I will’ …. And guess what, he DID achieve his outcomes 🙌🏻

So try doing this little exercise …

Pick something you’re experiencing that is having a negative impact upon you/your life - Maybe it’s having looping anxious thoughts …. Maybe it’s experiencing low confidence… maybe it’s not being able to reduce your weight (& keep it off) - whatever it is start to ‘Catch it; Check it; Change it’

CATCH a negative thought in relation to your issue, as you become aware of it

CHECK it
So challenge it for validity. If it’s linked to anxiety and feeling unsafe, is there an actual real and present danger? Or, if it’s a thought about yourself, then imagine a friend, your child or another loved one sharing that thought with you about themselves - would you reinforce/agree with it, or give them 100 reason why they shouldn’t think that/tell
them the opposite in encouragement to help them see it’s not true.

If you’d give that advice to a loved one then why are you not speaking that kindness to yourself?

Finally, CHANGE it :
Flip that dialogue to the positive opposite … speak an encouraging, uplifting, empowering and kind dialogue and make that your new ‘familiar’.
