That’s a wrap on our Billingham Juniors Summer Camp 2026, and what an incredible four days it has been!

From the moment the players stepped onto the ice on day one until the final whistle today, the effort, enthusiasm and smiles never stopped. Every player challenged themselves, made new friends, learnt new skills and created memories that will last long after the summer.

🏒 On the ice, players worked tirelessly to develop every aspect of their game through fun, challenging and engaging sessions, building confidence, skill and game awareness.

💪 A huge thank you to KW Fitness & Training for delivering another fantastic programme of off-ice training. The players were put through their paces with fitness, agility and conditioning sessions, while also learning the importance of recovery, preparation and looking after their bodies as athletes.

🧠 Our classroom sessions gave players the opportunity to learn away from the rink, while the ever-popular Toxic Hockey UK Quiz brought plenty of laughs, competition and teamwork!

🎉 And of course, camp wouldn’t be complete without some well-earned fun away from hockey. From climbing new heights at GoClimb Teesside Active to making a splash in the swimming pool and tackling the inflatable obstacle course, there were smiles everywhere you looked!

A massive thank you goes to Pete Winn from Advanced Hockey Development UK for leading his fourth summer camp with Billingham Juniors. Pete’s passion, knowledge and enthusiasm continue to inspire every player who steps onto the ice, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything he brings to our club year after year.

Pete summed the week up perfectly:

“Every year I leave Billingham thinking it can’t get any better… and every year these players prove me wrong. The attitude, work ethic and smiles have been outstanding from start to finish. It’s been an absolute privilege to be part of another fantastic camp, and I honestly can’t wait to come back and do it all again next year!” 🔴⚪⚫🏒

Finally, thank you to all of our coaches, managers, volunteers and parents who helped make this week possible. Events like this don’t happen without an amazing team behind the scenes.

Thank you also to HockeyHound.co.uk for the end of camp awards.

To every player who attended… be proud of yourselves. Keep working hard, keep believing in yourselves, and remember…

Success isn’t measured by how many goals you score today, but by the effort you put into becoming better than you were yesterday.

Have an amazing rest of the summer, and we’ll see you all back on the ice soon! ❤️🖤🤍

Another fantastic day in the books, with today’s on-ice sessions focusing on 1v1 battles. Competing, protecting the puck, making quick decisions and building the confidence to take players on are all key parts of developing the complete player, and the effort from everyone today was outstanding! 👏

Off the ice, a huge thank you once again to Kim Windspear Fitness for putting all of our players through their paces. The hard work, determination and energy shown by every age group has been incredible, and it’s great to see everyone pushing themselves to improve. 💥

Today’s message wasn’t just about training hard though – we also spoke about the importance of recovery. Getting stronger isn’t just about what you do in training; it’s also about giving your body time to recover, eating well and getting a good night’s sleep after a hard shift.

So parents… you’ve heard the instructions straight from Kim… early bedtime tonight!

Everyone at Billingham Juniors wishes you both the very best of luck. Play with pride, work hard, enjoy every moment, and show everyone what British hockey is all about!

Safe travels, boys—we’ll all be cheering you on from home! 💪🔴⚫

Day 1 of our Summer Camp is done… and what a fantastic start! 🏒💪

It was brilliant to see so many players giving 100% both on and off the ice, working hard, learning new skills and pushing themselves throughout the day. The effort, attitude and energy from everyone has been outstanding.

A huge thank you to Kim Windspear Fitness for putting all of our players through their paces during the off-ice sessions. The exercises were challenging, engaging and designed to help develop strength, balance, coordination and overall athletic performance. The players certainly knew they’d had a workout! 👏🔥

A massive thank you also to all of our coaches, Managers, volunteers and parents who helped make the first day run so smoothly.

We can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow! 🏒⭐

Happy Birthday to our Head Coach, Ian Watson! 🦸‍♂️

Every great superhero has a team behind them, and that’s exactly what makes Billingham Juniors so special.

Ian might be one of the driving forces behind our club, inspiring players, supporting coaches and helping shape the future of our hockey family, but he’ll be the first to tell you that none of it happens without the incredible team of coaches, managers, volunteers, parents and players who all pull together every single week.

Today, though, we’re making an exception to celebrate the man who helps bring that team together. Thank you for your dedication, passion and countless hours you put into making our club the fantastic place it is.

Have an amazing birthday, Ian! We hope it’s a super one! 🎂🎉🏒

A huge thank you to Toxic Hockey UK for their incredibly generous support of our club this season! ❤️🖤🤍💛🖤

Toxic kindly donated a fantastic selection of merchandise for our presentation evening raffle, which went down brilliantly with players and families. It was amazing to see so many people taking home some great prizes and enjoying the generosity shown by one of our valued supporters.

A special mention also has to go to the amazing medals provided by Toxic — they looked absolutely fantastic and were the perfect way to recognise the hard work, commitment and achievements of our players this season. 🏅

Support from businesses like Toxic makes such a difference to our club and helps us continue to create memorable experiences for our players and families.

Thank you for being part of the Billingham Juniors Ice Hockey Club journey — we really appreciate your support! 🙌🏒

A week on from our Presentation Day, we’re still looking back on what was a fantastic afternoon celebrating another great season for the club. ❤️🖤🤍🏒

From team awards to special recognitions, it was brilliant to see so many of our players recognised for their hard work, dedication and achievements throughout the season. Most importantly, it was another opportunity for our hockey family to come together and celebrate everything that makes this club so special.

We’ve finally had a chance to go through some of the photos, so here’s a selection from the day. Congratulations once again to all of our award winners, and thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a memorable occasion.
