The Mixed Recreational Division served up another brilliant afternoon of Summer League basketball, with three games producing plenty of drama, standout individual performances and some fiercely contested action from start to finish. 🏀🔥
The closest contest of the day came between Stockton Suns and Golden Smog Gold, with the Suns edging a thrilling encounter 55–53. Neither side could gain the upper hand during a tightly fought first half, but Stockton came out of the break with renewed energy, putting together an impressive third-quarter run to establish a narrow cushion. Golden Smog Gold weren't finished yet, responding with a late rally that brought them within two points in the closing moments. Despite the comeback, the clock ran out before they could find the equaliser, handing the Suns a hard-earned victory.
Jonathan Osborne starred for Stockton, leading the offence with 21 points and taking control when his side needed him most. His excellent display saw him awarded both Player of the Game and this week's Player of the Week.
Game two saw Stockton Shadows continue their strong form with a convincing 60–42 victory over Hartlepool Huskies. Although the opening stages suggested a closely fought battle, the Shadows gradually took control through their consistency at both ends of the floor. As the Huskies struggled to maintain their intensity, Stockton punished every opportunity and never allowed their opponents back into the contest.
Rich Medd put together one of the individual performances of the day, finishing with 26 points to earn a deserved Player of the Game award.
The day's final game featured Teesside Amigos United against Golden Smog Warriors, where a disciplined defensive performance helped the Warriors secure a 55–35 win. A fast start gave them an early advantage, and from there they managed the game well, controlling the tempo while limiting Amigos' scoring opportunities. Despite a determined effort from Amigos United, the Warriors remained composed to see out another impressive victory.
Cameron Christie collected Player of the Game honours after an influential all-round performance, making his presence felt on both offence and defence throughout the contest.
Another quality weekend of Summer League basketball is complete, with every team continuing to show great effort, sportsmanship and competitive spirit. As the season rolls on, the battle across the Mixed Recreational Division is only getting more exciting, and we can't wait to see what next Sunday has in store. 👏🔥

Shadows Men struggled to slow the momentum, allowing Warriors to build their lead quarter after quarter before cruising to a commanding 81–38 victory.
Riley Anderson led the way with an excellent all-round display, making his mark on and off the ball while helping stretch the lead throughout the game. His performance earned him both Player of the Game and Player of the Week honours.

Let's look at today's games! Here's game 1🔥🏀
Mixed Recreational Division delivered another exciting Sunday of basketball 🏀🔥
Three games, plenty of standout performances, and a dramatic finish rounded off another action-packed week of Summer League action.
The opening matchup saw Stockton Shadows take on Teesside Amigos United, with the Shadows taking complete control from the opening tip. Their intensity on both ends of the floor never allowed Amigos to settle into the game, forcing them to chase the contest throughout. Stockton's consistency paid off with a convincing 57–34 victory as they continued their impressive run of form.
Rich Medd put on a scoring masterclass, pouring in 24 points—almost half of his team's total—while showcasing excellent court vision and leadership throughout. His dominant display earned him both Player of the Game and Player of the Week honours.
Next up was an all-Golden Smog affair as the Warriors faced Golden Smog Gold. This one couldn't have been much closer, with neither side giving an inch as the lead stayed within touching distance throughout. With the game hanging in the balance late in the fourth quarter, the Warriors found a couple of openings in Gold's defence at just the right time, allowing them to edge out a thrilling 41–38 victory.
Niall Gilliland earned Player of the Game after another excellent all-round performance, finishing with 11 points while making his presence felt on both offence and defence.
The final game of the day produced the biggest drama, with Hartlepool Huskies taking on Stockton Suns. The Suns enjoyed the better of the first half and built themselves a valuable advantage before the Huskies mounted an impressive comeback after the break. The closing moments had everyone on the edge of their seats, with the Huskies cutting the deficit to just a single point at 55–54. With only seconds remaining, Balazs Zsikai stepped up and calmly knocked down a clutch two-pointer to seal a hard-fought 57–54 victory for the Suns.
That decisive basket capped off a brilliant performance from Balazs, earning him Player of the Game after delivering when it mattered most.
Another brilliant Sunday of Mixed Recreational Division basketball is in the books, and with games being decided by the finest of margins, every possession is proving more important than ever. The Summer League just keeps getting better 🔥
