Have your say on the Better Billingshurst Programme 📢

Open Space and Play Improvements in Billingshurst

As part of the Better Billingshurst Programme, Horsham District Council is working with Billingshurst Parish Council to deliver Open Space and Play Improvements at Lower Station Road Recreation Ground, Station Road Community Gardens and Jubilee Fields.

They want your feedback to help shape the proposals and ensure the projects meet the needs of the community.

The consultation will be open from 14 - 28 September

***Please be aware Saturday morning parking will be extremely busy at Jubilee Fields. ***

** IMPORTANT – JUBILEE FIELDS CAR PARK **

We are expecting the car park at Jubilee Fields to be extremely busy on Saturday mornings, particularly with multiple teams playing at home.

Please DO NOT park at Jubilee Fields if the car park is full. Parking along the access road or in areas that restrict access is not acceptable.

* Please Walk or Car Share Where Possible *

If you live locally, please consider walking to Jubilee Fields rather than bringing your car.

We would also ask everyone to car share wherever possible. Even a small reduction in the number of cars arriving at Jubilee Fields will make a big difference to congestion.

* Away Teams – Please Allow Plenty of Time to Arrive *

If you are travelling to Jubilee Fields as an away team, please allow plenty of extra time for your journey and parking.

If the Jubilee Fields car park is full, please use the Library car park or the local roads nearby.

You can access Jubilee Fields on foot via the bridge, walking through Pine Close or Maple Close.

* Emergency Access MUST Be Kept Clear *

This is extremely important.

Please do not park on the road leading towards the car park, as this significantly restricts access for emergency vehicles.

We all want to make sure that an ambulance or other emergency vehicle can reach our children quickly if it is ever needed. You would not want an ambulance to be delayed trying to reach your child because cars have been parked blocking the access road.

** Please park sensibly, considerately and safely at all times ***

We appreciate that parking can be difficult on busy Saturday mornings, but the safety of our children must come first.

Pop down to Billingshurst Fire Station today 🚒🚒

Good morning Billingshurst.

Tomorrow is the day it's finally here please see our timetable of events. Please also be aware we are an operational station, all staff are operational and the fire service vehicles are operational so may be called out during the day. Don't worry though we will keep it fun even if the appliance has to go out it just means we may not perform all drills detailed below.

Whether it's serving up the perfect coffee before kick-off, keeping the burgers flowing at half-time, or welcoming our local football and cricket community, no two shifts are the same!

Hours:

⚽ Mainly weekends
🏏 Tuesday evenings during sports fixtures

Experience is welcome but not essential – we'll provide training. The most important thing is a great attitude and a willingness to get stuck in!

It’s cricket 6’s at the BSRA HQ and we’re rocking the new Cruzcampo satellite dish.

This Sunday at Jubilee Fields, the sunshine is booked, the bar will be open.
Come and support a great cause. ⚽️

On Sunday we play against Billingshurst vets, We are all super excited to be playing and the sun will be shining. The bar will be open and spectators welcome so please come on down, lots of space at Jubilee fields and a skate park so bring the family down.

This game will also be dedicated to Baby Fern 💕

We will hold a minute silence before kick off in her memory.

There will also be a raffle raising money for Sands - baby loss charity, please do get involved if you can.
