Eldwick Tennis Club Turns 65! 🎂 🎈

As part of our 65th anniversary celebrations, we’ve been looking through some fantastic photos from the club’s history, and we’ve shared a few to enjoy - Do you recognise anyone?

From the early days of the club and the opening of the courts, to team photos, club matches, tournaments, trophy presentations and social events, these pictures tell the story of Eldwick Tennis Club and the people who have made it such a special place over the last 65 years.

🎾 Match Update 🎾

A couple of tough fixtures for our First Team over the last two weeks, taking on reigning champions Salts and newly promoted Rawdon.

Despite some hard-fought tennis, Salts came away with a 3-1 win, but the team bounced back with a solid 2-2 draw against Rawdon to pick up some valuable points in Division One. 👏

Our Second Team have got off to a flying start in Division Five and are already showing their promotion ambitions! Two brilliant 4-0 wins on the bounce against Skipton and St Peter’s mean they sit in a strong position early in the season. 💪🎾

No matches today, so the courts are free for members to enjoy. If the weather behaves itself, why not head down for a hit? ☀️🎾

🎾 Wimbledon is nearly here… which means it’s time to get back on court! 🎾

Whether you’re dusting off your racket, looking to improve your game, or just fancy some fun, social tennis, now is the perfect time to join Eldwick Tennis Club.

We welcome players of all abilities and have a friendly Members’ Club Night every Thursday evening, making it a great way to meet people and enjoy some relaxed tennis.

🎾 Family (parents/guardians and children under 18) – £110

After a bank holiday break, we’re back in action today!

Our First Team travel to take on last year’s winners, Salts, with play starting from 10am.

Meanwhile, our Second Team are at home against St. Peter’s, with matches getting underway from 12pm.

🎾 Bradford League is back! 🎾

Saturday league matches return tomorrow, and we are hoping the rain doesn’t ruin it 🌧️

Our 1st team are back in the 1st Division after last season’s promotion 💪🏻

They kick off their campaign away at Skipton, ready to test themselves at the higher level.

The 2nd team begin their Division 5 battle against Austwick, looking to get their season off to a strong start.

Let’s get behind both teams and hope they get off to an ACE start! 🎾

Don’t forget, Thursday evenings are Senior Club Nights at Eldwick – and with the weather looking good, it’s the perfect excuse to get out for a hit! ☀️

🎾 Eldwick Tennis Club – Thursday Club Nights Are Back! 🌤️

Now the nights are getting lighter and the weather is (slightly!) improving, our friendly Thursday Club Nights are starting up again.

All members are welcome to come along for a relaxed and sociable game of tennis. It’s a great chance to get back on court, meet other members, and enjoy some friendly matches.
