UPDATE!
I am very grateful to say that we have been approached by a local business who has offered to sort out some CCTV for us😃Thank you to everyone who has shared so far but please continue to do so and hopefully the person/people who done this and are climbing on the roof realise it’s not ‘just a laugh’ to us.
Please share this far and wide, it seems we must take this issue on ourselves after repeated requests to Merseyside police and the council to put in CCTV and patrols in the park have been totally ignored!
Once again it looks like our gym has been damaged by the angels hanging around in Mersey Park. As well as ripping down our sign (that has been up for 1 week), we have also had our roof damaged by youth climbing all over it, resulting in a leak. Parents say there is nothing for young people to do in the area, the answer to that is YES THERE IS, and someone’s little darling is going out of their way to damage it. We are a small Community Interest Gym who can not afford constant repairs. If anyone knows who did this please message us, we will be discreet. If this was your child, congratulations👏🏻 on raising someone who feels it’s acceptable to damage property and spoilt it for kids who actually want to do something with themselves. I would also just like to say that I know not everyone who plays in that park is a bad kid, in fact that is far from the case. My own family members and students play there and they are well behaved, well mannered, thoughtful and caring children. That is what makes these actions all the more infuriating, if you aren’t interested in taking part in something like our gym that is fine, but to purposely damage it and take essential funds from us that could be used in a more positive way for our students is callus and pointless. I have also had to intervene with bullying in the park after innocent children have asked for my help😡

Secondary to this I would like to ask everyone possible to SHARE as we are looking for any business that deals with CCTV who would be interested in a sponsorship opportunity to contact us. In exchange for a sponsorship of CCTV on our gym your business name and logo would be included in all future advertising, including a batch of t-shirts for our uniform that we are currently in the early stages of designing.
