Want to feel more confident, learn practical self-defence skills and get moving in a friendly, supportive space?
Join Nine Dragons Martial Arts this Sunday 20 September, 1–2pm at Earth Moves Community Garden in Wallasey for a FREE women’s self-defence taster class! 🙌
Delivered as part of the Mersey Moving Together project and funded by Sport England, this relaxed, beginner-friendly session is all about building confidence, learning useful skills and having a go at something new.

You’ll learn practical techniques, including ways to get away if someone grabs you, in a supportive environment where you can work at a level that feels comfortable for you.
♿ Accessible options are available, including chair-based alternatives, so there are ways for everyone to take part.
📍 FIND US — EARTH MOVES COMMUNITY GARDEN
Our site is on Telegraph Lane, Wallasey, a pedestrian path running between Green Lane and Leasowe Road, alongside the former market gardens of Wallasey.
🚶♀️ Around a 10-minute walk from Wallasey Grove Road station.
🚲 Coming by bike? Access the site via Bayswater Road → Green Lane → Telegraph Lane. Bicycle parking is available.
🚗 There is no public parking at the garden itself. The North Wirral Coastal Car Park on Green Lane, Wallasey CH45 8NA is a short walk away.
🌸 Once you arrive: go through the gate, follow the path to the right and walk straight up towards the bright pink community shed. That’s where we’ll be!
