Big well done to these five who refereed games in the Llay United u8s and 9s tournament last weekend. Here they are with the Thank You cards and refs fees the Club kindly gave them for helping out 💙⚽️

Brilliant game this morning away to Airbus 14s. Unfortunate to go in at half time 1-0 down as we could have scored a few ourselves but that's football. Lads started the second half really well and were moving the ball around really well so it was disappointing to concede a penalty to go 2-0 down. Lads got back into it with a penalty of their own making it 2-1. On another day they could have levelled it but the Airbus keeper made some unbelievable saves. Game finished 4-1 to Airbus but lots of positives can be taken from that sort of performance and effort. After scoring heavily in a game mid-week this was a game to just calm things down a bit but it also showed the lads that they can learn and improve on things in our next game. Thanks to Airbus for hosting 💙 Keep going lads. You're an amazing bunch 💙⚽️

Brilliant performance from the lads last night, away to fellow Division 1 team Mynedd Isa Young Guns. Lads played brilliant football and it was great for them to get a win and to play on a green pitch for once 🤣 Weather conditions weren't the best but it was good to get another game played before the season gets started next week. Thanks to Mynedd Isa for inviting us and hosting 💙⚽️

Lads went to Mold to play against Mold Alexander 15s last night. The lads narrowly losing 2-1 but the result didn't matter tonight because the performance against a strong Mold 15s team was outstanding. Every single player. It took the boys a little while to settle down but when they started playing they were brilliant. Second half they were possibly the stronger team and were unfortunate not to come away with a draw but I don't think anyone could have argued if they had won it. Really pleasing to hear that there were no complaints or moaning about losing but instead really pleased that they had been in such a battle. Keep doing yourselves proud lads as you are all little superstars in our eyes 💙⚽️

It was great to play on a decent pitch and thanks to CPD Dinas Wrecsam for hosting us on Saturday morning. Football was great to watch at times. Well done lads 💙⚽️

Brilliant performance boys. Pitch was awful but you managed to keep it down and play the football we know you can play 💙 Opposition coaches were extremely complimentary and considering the teams they play on a weekly basis it is a massive compliment. Brilliant to see the new additions settling is so well and making a difference at both ends of the pitch. Keep going lads 💙⚽️

3-1 Semi final win against a team from Liverpool ✅️

3-0 Final win against a strong Ellesmere Port team ✅️🏆⚽️

Performance was outstanding. Usually against an older age group the lads gradually get into a game, but they were on it from the kick off today. Opposition were class in the way they played so it took a brilliant effort to win this one. One or two missing but it didn't matter in terms of effort and Performance. Keep up the brilliant work lads 💙⚽️

Long afternoon but a winning one in the end 🏆

Last but not least is our u14s who managed to go through the whole tournament without conceding a single goal going on to lift the champions league trophy.
