Market Drayton Town 1 – Starz Academy 2 ⚽️
Our great start to the season continues with our second win of the season! 💪
It was a tough first away game against a good side, and we definitely weren’t at our best. But with a lot of hard work, determination and a willingness to fight for every ball, we managed to get the win.
⚽️ Goalscorer: Isaac ⚽️⚽️
Proud of the lads — great team effort! 👏💙

Well done, lads! What a great result today — an unbelievable 8–0 win! 👏⚽️
Another huge sign of how far we’ve come. We played these boys towards the end of last season when they were 10 places above us in the table, and we managed to win 3–1. Today, we showed just how much progress we’ve made.
The lads showed great quality, played some fantastic football, were disciplined throughout, and took our chances when they came. I couldn’t be happier with every single one of the boys today.
Brilliant team performance from start to finish. Well done, boys! 💙

Great result for the lads today! 💪⚽
Our first game of the season against a strong Halesowen Town side, who many people are tipping to win the league.
The boys were well organised, showed quality all over the pitch, and worked incredibly hard from start to finish. A really positive performance and a great way to start the season.
Plenty more to come from this group! 🔥👏

Match Report: Starz 4–0 Drayton Town (Pre-Season Friendly)
Starz welcomed Drayton Town yesterday for a pre-season friendly, and after a tough start, produced an impressive second-half display to run out 4–0 winners.
Drayton Town began the brighter side, pressing high from the first whistle and putting our defence under pressure. Starz stood firm though, with a solid defensive line and every player working tirelessly to protect the goal.
As the half progressed, we settled into the game, kept the ball better, and began to play our football. Fin came close to giving us the lead, but the Drayton goalkeeper pulled off an outstanding point-blank save.
The breakthrough finally arrived in the last 20 minutes. Kyron struck a superb long-range effort, and Isaac was there to finish and make it 1–0.
Isaac doubled the lead with a moment of real quality, producing a brilliant drag-back to beat his defender before delicately chipping the goalkeeper.
For the third, Frankie turned provider with a great assist for Byron, who fired into the top corner. Bright then wrapped up the scoring, calmly slotting home to complete a strong team performance.
Goals: Isaac ⚽⚽, Byron ⚽, Bright ⚽
A great effort from the whole squad and a perfect way to continue pre-season.

⚽️ MATCH REPORT | Starz Academy 1–1 Tamworth Academy
Our 4th friendly saw us welcome Tamworth Academy for what was our toughest test yet — and it certainly didn’t disappoint!

We started the game really well, moving the ball nicely and controlling the game. However, we allowed Tamworth back into the match, and they took advantage with a very good individual goal. The heat and a lack of fitness also made the first half difficult for us.

But in the second half, we came out a completely different team. We took control of the game, created plenty of chances and hit the bar three times! 🔥

Finally, Isaac ⚽️ found the back of the net to bring us level. We had further chances to win the game, but unfortunately couldn’t find that second goal.

Overall, it was a great test for the boys, and we learned a lot from the game. That’s exactly what friendlies are for — to test ourselves, learn and improve. 💪⚽️

A big thank you to Tamworth Academy for the game. 👏

3rd Preseason Game
3 Starz 3️⃣–2️⃣ Tekkerz

A really tough game today. We went into half-time 2-0 down, but we changed our tactics and game plan, and the lads carried it out outstandingly.

They looked like a completely different team in the second half, showing great tactical awareness, discipline, and character. We fought our way back into the game, then took control and completed the comeback.

⚽ Goals:

Isaac ⚽⚽
Tyler ⚽
Preseason friendlies aren't about the results—they're about learning, adapting, and adjusting to different situations. Today the boys showed they can do exactly that. Plenty of positives to take into the next game. 💙⚽
