British Rally Seeding A seeding service for English/Welsh gravel events.

Seeding is based on actual stage times of competitors, rather than finishing positions and/or reputation. The database has taken 6 months to put together and includes all BTRDA events since 2009, plus a growing number of other events including Scottish and Welsh clubman/national/international events - producing ratings and rankings for over 2000 drivers. The system made its debut on a leading even

Great to be back involved with the rallying scene after the enforced break, and it's heartening that so many organisers have made use of my data since rallying resumed this summer.

The time may have come to set up a site or ongoing blog and make my rankings more visible. Mulling things over at the moment, but if there are any photographers out there willing to donate a few shots to spruce it up please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Cheers

Jon

Woodpecker next weekend, tricky field to seed with a lot of non championship crews out for an annual jaunt in the woods.

Hope it all goes well!

The one to beat, the highest ranked gravel driver this season:

Matt Edwards - rating 99.9% on the Cambrian - narrowly missed out on a perfect 100% due to Cave and Bogie nabbing a couple of stage wins.

By comparison:
David Bogie 99.1%
Tom Cave 99.0%
Martin McCormack 97.9%
Desi Henry 97.5%

Euan Thorburn, the #1 BTRDA competitor scored 95.9% on the event

After a few years lying dormant, it seems 2019 is going to be a busy year...

The old database has been dusted off, used for a few events in 2018, and now updated for 2019 - looks like we're back in business.

Hmmm, a few tweaks to the the running order and last minute entries placed in positions I cannot agree with.... remember, I seed on evidence, not on reputation.

Just finish seeding my 2nd major event - time for bed. I hope this goes as well as the 1st! (Made one mistake in initial draft, corrected and sent 2nd version to organisers ;))
