Amazing start to weekend with 3 stunning wins!
Our 1st XI were facing Cannock CC at home, and from looking at the scorecard, it seems Cannock didn't bring their A game. Winning the toss and deciding to Cannock only managed to put on 62 before losing all their wickets. It only took 14 overs for us to get the required runs at the loss of 1 wicket.
The 2nds had an eventful match against Springhill CC. While we chose to put them into bat, Springhill knocked on a respectable 221/7. However it wasn't enough as our opener Qasim came out on put on 102, helping us along our way to reaching the target with 3 overs to spare.
The 3rd XI had an absolute blinder of a match against Penkridge CC. Putting ourselves into bat, we looked unsteady at the start and lost our openers fairly quickly. However with Akash (115 not out) and Assad (54) we were able to put on an unnecessary score of 258/4. As Penkridge came into bat everything was looking promising and it stayed that way as we bowled them all out for 43.
Fantastic weekend to get all 3 teams coming out on top, fingers crossed we keep this going.
Another Saturday, another 2 games rained off.
Our 3rd XI however, had a great result at Springhill CC. After winning the toss and electing to bat, we were able to put on a tremendous 297 for 5. Tubbsy knocked on 106 not out, achieving his first century for the season. Coming into bowl with high hopes, Ali Shah was able to get 4 wickets, before Springhill getting all out for 155. All in all a fantastic win for our 3rds.

1st XI was called off again due to bad conditions.
However, another great Sunday for the 2nd XI. Playing at home against Burntwood St Matthews CC, we were able to win the toss and elected to bat. With Kamran Abbassi leading the charge, we knocked on 236-7 before deciding to declare in the 36th over.
Had a bit of a downpour during the break which limited the overs down to 34. Burntwood came out to bat needing only 201 to win. Coming out swinging in the first few overs Burntwood looked on track to make the total, however a few changes in the bowling and we were able to get them all out for 140.
Let's hope this weather picks up soon!
Well, another bad weekend. All 3 matches got called off. Let's see what tomorrow brings!
Sunday 1st XI was unfortunately called off due to bad conditions.
However, excellent work today from the Sunday 2nd XI. Away at Four Oaks Saints we were able to win the toss and made the decision to put them into bat. Straight from the off, our bowlers were on the money and were able to bowl Four Oaks out for 141.
Our opening batsmen kept the momentum going and put on a quality partnership before that ended in the 80s. With only 3 wickets lost we knocked off the runs in 30 overs.
Special mentions go to Zain, Borstal and Rash for todays performances. Let's keep this going lads!
All 3 teams have had their games called off today! So weekend off, then back on it next week!

Not quite sure how it happened, but the rain held off for us yesterday and got a couple decent results for Highcroft.
Our 1st XI were playing away this week at Swindon CC, who after electing to field, kept Swindon down to total 207 all out, with Afzal getting a 5 for. Our openers, Wasim (102*) and Roy (101*) came out and straight from ball 1 started chipping away at this total and knocked it off in 37 over without losing a wicket.
The 2nds were a little less fortunate at home. With Qasim leading from the front and scoring a respectable 68, we put on a total of 178 all out. West Bromwich and Dartmouth CC had a rocky start and we were looking good, having them at only 128-6. Unfortunately they knocked off the runs off with only a wicket to spare.
The 3rds faced Rushall CC at our ground in Walsall. Electing to bat, our batsmen set a massive target of 295, with Sid scoring 104 and Akash getting 64. Rushall did their best to try and keep up with the run rate but our bowlers were able to keep them down to just 196, giving us a winning draw.
This weekend was a slightly disappointing one.
Our 1sts were at home against Milford Hall CC, where we won the toss and elected to field. Milford Hall put on a respectable 251-5. Our lads did their best to chase it down however we finished on 223-9 giving us a losing draw.
Our 2nds came away with a victory at Whittington CC. Electing to field again, we were able to get Whittington all out for 121 off 27 overs. Made for an easy chase and got the victory in the 25th over.
Our 3rds were also away against Swindon CC. Losing the toss and being put into bat, we only managed to put on 161 before losing our last wicket. Swindon quickly chased it down, in just 19 overs.
Fingers crossed we have a better week next week!
