Strong enough to run for hours. Brave enough to keep going when everything hurts.

Today we celebrate the women who choose the long road/trail — the ultra marathoners who wake before the sun, chase horizons, climb mountains, and prove that limits are often just stories we’ve been told.

You run through storms, darkness, doubt, and exhaustion… and you keep moving forward anyway. That’s more than endurance — that’s resilience, courage, and power.

To every woman running beyond the finish line society set for her: today we celebrate you.

Happy International Women’s Day to the women who go the distance. 🏃‍♀️🌍

Day 2 of the ultra_scotland and Race Across Scotland training run.

We’ve altered the route today and are starting from Scotland’s highest village at 467 metres - Wanlockhead.

Wanlockhead is one of the checkpoint locations on both of the races and from here the group will be heading up to the highest point on the Southern Upland Way at 725 metres (2,379ft) - Lowther Hill - which is the location of the iconic ‘golf ball’ radar station.

The group will then be heading down to today’s finish point at Beattock where they’ll get to pass another great location on the route - Daer Reservoir.

Have a great day out there everyone.

We’re back out on the trails again!

It’s our third training weekend of the year and this weekend we’re covering parts of the ultra_scotland and Race Across Scotland routes.

Today’s group will be enjoying the 26 mile section from St John’s Town of Dalry over to Sanquhar.

Along the way, they’ll get to enjoy some stunning scenery and also take in Benbrack Arch along the route.

Will they find any treasure in the kists though?!

Have a great day everyone.
