I'm delighted to be offering this Mindfulness Course in October in Birmingham, to help manage stress & anxiety
We all experience challenges in our lives but how we manage them is likely to determine the impact they have on our emotional wellbeing
Throught practising mindfulness we bring a non-judgemental and compassionate attention to whats happening in our experience, and this can help to calm the nervous system enabling us to make wise choices in our lives
Mindfulness also enables us to deepen our understanding of ourselves; bringing about greater fulfilment

A great model to manage online communication. Particularly useful to share with children and young adults to help them protect themselves.

Wise words for letting go of all the worries of the day 🥰
WHEN YOUR HEAD HITS THE PILLOW TONIGHT
Remember the smiles of the day, the laughter, the little wins, the warm words…
And let everything else go.
Put the lessons learned in a file marked ‘done’ and give yourself a pat on the back for the things you got right.
Leave the stresses of tomorrow where they belong – tomorrow.
Leave the stresses of today where they belong too.
And let the night take away the heavy weight from your shoulders.
Let it go.
Let yourself be safe.
Let yourself be still.
Let yourself be at rest.
When your head hits the pillow tonight my friend, let sleep come and let your soul be.
You did enough today.
We are all just doing our best with no rule book, in a game with no referee and no half-time.
None of us are getting it right, we are all just winging it.
We are all just as scared, just as weary.
When your head hits the pillow tonight my friend,
close your eyes and remember,
you are worthy.

Taking time out from the busy life to be in nature; simply walking, the firmness of the ground beneath, feeling the air on my skin, listening to the birds twittering, breathing in the fresh country air and spring beauty.
What are you doing to recharge your batteries and nurture yourself this bank holiday weekend?
Still some places left on the 8 week Mindfulness-based stress reduction programme starting on Monday 9th May, 7-9pm at the Birmingham Buddhist Centre.

I'm feeling excited about holding my first in-person 8-week Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction course in May, since 2020. This course is for anyone wanting to be pro-active in improving their wellbeing, by developing their mental & emotional resilience.
Through practising mindfulness we can learn to meet challenging circumstances; by attending to our thoughts, feelings and body sensations with kindness, care and wisdom. This can help us to interrupt the cycle of unhelpful thoughts that exacerbate how we feel about a situation.
Course will be every Monday 7-9pm, starting on 9th May, with a free taster session 25th April and held at the Birmingham Buddhist Centre in Moseley. Visit https://birminghammindfulness.co.uk/.../stress-management/ for further info or contact me.
