The Sports Academy Awards 2026 celebrated and recognised the incredible dedication and achievements of our students.

Alongside their studies and exam preparation, these talented young athletes continue to train hard, develop their sporting abilities, and compete locally & nationally. Their commitment, resilience, and passion are truly inspiring, and we are extremely proud of all they have accomplished both in and out of the classroom.

Students from the Football Academy Boys and Girls programme recently visited Alexander Stadium alongside

During the visit, students took part in a Talent Identification workshop led by PhD student Achuthan Shanmugaratnam, who shared his experiences of working with Arsène Wenger as part of the FIFA Talent ID Programme.

This was followed by an insightful workshop on Performance Analysis, where students learned how data and analysis can be used to improve individual and team performance in sport.

Aston Manor Boys Football Academy took part in the AVFC Foundation Community Shield.

AMA came out 2-1 winners against Shelfield Academy in the inter-club competition.
