🥰You know you’ve found your kind of Yoga class when there are more bolsters than egos in the room 🥰

At ESY we’re BIG fans of props!

💜Blocks? Love them.
💜Blankets? Essential.
💜Bolsters? Basically emotional support cushions.

Yoga isn’t about forcing yourself into shapes your body hates, or that somebody says it should look like. It’s about feeling supported, comfortable and able to actually breathe while you’re there.

In our classes, props are tools that help make Yoga feel better, they are NEVER offered as a “oh you can’t do this pose, use a block instead” modification.

Once you’ve started using props in a pose, you’ll never look back! For me, it took Extended Side Angle from a real struggle to “ooh actually this feels good!”

If using three blankets, two blocks and a bolster to relax is wrong, well then I don’t want to be right. 🤪

🍎 Blessed be the fruit 🍎

This month’s classes have been themed around Gratitude & how feeling grateful can bring in Abundance and boy oh boy are we feeling grateful (and maybe a little overwhelmed) for everything growing after a rainy Spring & now a heatwave!

I’ve also been feeling very grateful for the group of women who are signing up for the Grounded Hatha Teacher Training course this week! One woman messaged me to say she was excited & anxious about the training, eeeek me too!

These are women who already have very full lives, but who have stepped out of their comfort zone and into something new, because they are taking a leap & doing something for themselves.

This time next year they will be confidently holding space for women who once felt exactly like you did and are ready to change the way other women feel about themselves (and going to a Yoga class).

If you’ve been thinking that doing a course like this is something you couldn’t do…well maybe you can!
