We have been your friendly, neighbourhood gym for more than 30 years. Recently (2019 - closed most of 2020 due to Covid!) updated with new Technogym equipment plus a Queenax functional rig, Powerplate, huge free weights area, treadmills, rowers, Stairmaster, stepper, bikes, sunbeds, Personal Training. More than 100 pieces of kit. Friendly gym with cardio, resistance and strength training equipment.

💜 Fibromyalgia Awareness Day
Chronic pain is invisible — compassion isn’t.
Be patient. Be kind. Be aware.

Fibromyalgia is a chronic neurological condition that affects how the brain and nervous system process pain.
It’s not “in the muscles” — it’s in the pain‑processing system.

People with fibromyalgia feel pain more intensely because their nervous system is stuck in a high‑alert state.
It’s invisible, unpredictable, and both mentally and physically exhausting.

Around 2–4% of the population live with fibromyalgia — mostly women.
Diagnosis can be long and emotionally draining because there’s no single test, symptoms vary widely, and it’s often mistaken for other conditions.

It’s more common in people with:
• autoimmune conditions
• chronic stress
• past trauma
• long‑term pain conditions

There’s no cure — only management of symptoms, support, and understanding.
Be kind. You never know what someone is carrying.
