Its been a good year for SHC, students are getting better by yards, rather than inches, and the sheer determination to do better every class is inspirational. We hosted our first local tournament in association with the Midlands HEMA Alliance, we've been back down to Wales for The Gathering Of Wolves, we've been up to Scotland again for the Smallsword Symposium, across for The Hernes Cup, down for The Albion Cup, sideways for The Blackford Prize, back the other way for A Midsummer Fights Dream, and up and across for Wolf Call. Not to mention the now regular jaunt over to HEMAC Dijon

In the meantime we've taught Longsword, Fiore Dagger, Dussack, Sickle, Marozzo Dagger and sparred with everything from Rapier to Wooden Spoon.

We've also managed to do it with no drama, buckets of sweat and a a whole lot of laughter. Spreading the joy of HEMA with the emphasis on joy. Come and cross blades with us again in 2026.
