20k MILESTONE!
Today we attend the Sport Birmingham Girls of Brum event, delivering Hockey to girls to help drive the visibility, accessibility and inclusivity of our sport.
This event is a key moment in our journey as we now hit 20k people that we have engaged in the last 5 years to introduce them to Hockey! From our events at the doorstep of families, to online lessons in Covid, engagement in the community, along canal towpaths, in schools, community events, care homes and hospital wards, we reach a milestone that our sport should be proud of and a reach we believe nobody else has yet achieved in the sports recent history!
Our Chair Dr Jeevan Singh Chagger shared the following in this milestone "What we have achieved in the last 5 years is beyond incredible. It has been no easy journey but it shows to the sport that it is possible. We can increase the visibility, make hockey more accessible and celebrate its inclusivity. This is the start of something special and we have yet another ambitious target on the horizon!"
Join us in recognising the inclusive nature of Hockey and help us to inspire more Hockey Clubs and those at England Hockey to continue its work with hockey clubs to drive this sport further and reach new heights!
20,000 people engaged in 5 years at 43 events. Signposting people to 20 different clubs in 14 countries across 5 continents of the world.

Hockey can be FUN!
Alongside our Club Partners we have been able to continue our long standing partnership at the recent Haematology and Oncology Games, to recognise 5 years of this fantastic community day!
Thanks to Dennis and Laurie, we have been able to support over 8000 people in the last 7 years of our work together, reaching more people, signposting them to 17 other clubs in 12 different countries across 5 continents of the world. But the real power, being able to make young people smile. Completely breaking down the barriers that restrict their participation into hockey and allowing them to express themselves, have fun and experience hockey in a way like no other.
Here's to the MANY MORE years ahead with Dennis, Laurie and the Team and to more work together to reaching a wider population within the community 👊

Birmingham Hockey Club 1932 🤝 Inclusive Sports Day with Access Sport and Street Games UK
On Saturday we had the privilege to help deliver hockey taster sessions to over 500 young people and families in introducing them to the sport of hockey, signposting them to their nearest club and for many, showing them how adaptable and inclusive hockey can be.
Meeting many club friends and supporters and our close friend and champion who had a great catch up with our Chair and volunteers and Jas
Hockey is an inclusive sport and it just takes a few to show how adaptable it can be. For sure many new hockey players inspired between us and .hockey
