A New Era Begins: Major Pro Kabaddi League
The future of kabaddi has arrived.
Last night at the Sporting Equals event, the announcement of the Major Pro Kabaddi League marked a powerful step forward for a sport rooted in tradition and driven by intensity. This new league is set to elevate kabaddi onto a bigger stage, bringing together top talent, raising competition standards, and creating long-overdue visibility for dedicated athletes.
With the strong backing of the England Kabaddi Association, the league is built on a solid foundation. Their support ensures growth at both grassroots and elite levels, paving the way for long-term success and meaningful impact across the UK and beyond.
The evening was more than just an announcement. It was a celebration of sport, community, and ambition. Surrounded by inspiring figures from across the sporting world, the atmosphere was filled with energy, shared stories, and a collective excitement for what lies ahead.
A special moment of reflection honoured Ashok Das, recognising his incredible achievement as the FA Community Champion 2023. His dedication continues to inspire the next generation and highlights the power of sport to bring communities together.
This is not just the launch of a league. It is the beginning of a movement that will shape the future of kabaddi locally and globally.
