Perls A.C would like to congratulate our very own Noah Hickin. Noah is a fairly new participent, taking up this wonderful sport. Also he is the first of Perls A.C children to attend the Canal & River Trust National Celebration. It's fair to say Noah has got the bug for fishing and is already looking forward to next years event.🎣
This weekend (Sunday 14th September), our own little Noah took part in Canal & River Trust National Celebration.
Even though it rained most of the day, we had a fantastic time.
He drew peg 5 on The Shropshire Union Canal. Fishing pinkies and a mixture of Sensas 3000 Canal noire and G5 for roach and skimmer ground bait, it was bite after bite after bite. He fished using his 8 meter pole capped at 3 metres for the 1st 90 minutes, then pushed out into the tree line for the last 90 minutes.
Within the 1st 20 minutes of fishing he caught a gudgeon (securing his gudgeon mug) and his 3 species ( securing his Tommy Pickering Book) also he was delighted at catching "the biggest perch he'd ever seen".
He was delighted at all the prizes he picked up at the award ceremony, and even though it was a long, tiring day, he came away smiling and he can't wait until next year to take part again.
